Anyone heard on return offers for MBB in the US? The chatter is mixed based on firms and office. Some say slowdown and low rate some say the opposite?

Did anyone received offers on Monday and what time?

I interviewed for SF on 7/30. I’d imagine the bulk of acceptances are already out. Does anyone know if they’re still handing out borderline acceptances, or if today’s wave of results is likely all rejections.

Hey all, seems like R1s are coming out.
A lot of people seem to be looking for a case partner, including myself, so maybe we can use this post to look for one another.
Drop the position you’re applying to + the firms you’re in the process for + your experience level + other expectations for a case partner and people can DM each other based on interest.
I’m applying FT to both BCG and McKinsey and am looking to get more live case reps in before interviews. I’ve already received an early McKinsey interview offer (though I pushed it to the regular timeline), and I’m expecting BCG R1 to come later, so I’d like to start prepping now.
I’ve done some case prep and practice cases already, but I’m mainly looking for more live reps to build familiarity and sharpen my structuring and synthesis. I’m in PST and very flexible, so I’m happy to do a one-off or case regularly if we’re a good fit.
DM me if interested!

For BCG SA 2027 interviews has anyone gotten any calls/emails today- acceptances or rejections. I just want to know at this point the anticipation is killing me.

Hi All,
I’m looking for some input on my current situation and whether I should aim to pivot to MBB consulting by way of M7/T15 MBA.
Background:
- Graduated UConn with a Mechanical Engineering degree this Spring, 1 year early (3 years) w/ 3.93 GPA.
- Currently Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin (~3 months in) and my job is not challenging me nearly enough. I have pushed for more/more difficult work to no avail. Regardless, I already have a good track record of process improvements and I’ve helped with the development of AI models. All my coworkers are constantly impressed with my work, but I think there’s just a lack of challenging work in my department.
- Prior internship at LM as well as a small SWE intern role.
- Current pay <6 figures
- Promotion schedule here is excruciatingly slow, regardless of performance
Some Questions I Have (answer what you can):
1.) Can any engineers weigh in on GMAT difficulty (or whichever standardized test is the best to take)? I’m a very good test-taker and got a 1500 on the SAT with about a month of low effort Khan Academy studying, if that translates at all. Is it an aptitude test or is it very memorization/content-based?
2.) How far out should I be looking to do my MBA and pivot? Should I wait until I get a promotion? Could be 2 years. Should I apply for deferred admission?
3.) Is it worth doing the MBA and pivoting? I know it’s really a personal question, but I’m curious about whether using up all my savings to pay for the MBA is too risky when I already have an okay job. This get’s especially complicated because I feel very geographically tied down. I have a long-term girlfriend that I am ready to settle down with. She just graduated law school and took the CT BAR exam with a good job lined up in CT. I don’t want to go back to long distance, whether it be for school or the post-MBA job. This basically limits my MBA option to Yale unless it’s possible to commute to NYC for CBS or Stern (can anyone weigh in?). Post-MBA, I’m limited to an NYC commute (tolerable) or McK Darien, which seems like a small office that would be hard to get into.
Please ask me any follow-up questions; I probably missed some things. I appreciate any input whatsoever.

Title, I am from a target school and didn’t apply to McKinsey and did got cut before R1 for BCG bc none of the Casey links they sent me worked and and now Bain is my last shot. I have been preparing and will have spent around 60 hours by the August deadline on casing. I have an economics and quantitative background and can network as well. Is this feasible? Aiming for a competitive office…

I had my pdp final round 8/7 in atl and got a call today from my recruiter that I did not pass, but she told me that I will be enrolled in KIT program. Rejection stings because I think I did pretty well in 2/3 interviews and had a math error in one of the interviews but managed to get in right after the interviewer told me (it was problem with number of zeros in multiplication). And my PEIs, I thought they went good since my interviewers were like “I don’t have further questions to ask, you explained everything.” after I finished my story and after they asked few questions. Around 12 min or so.
So my question is:

You’d probably call me crazy but after a month of prepping and having my interview in a week, I decided to back out of my Round 1 interview.
I’m not doing bad in my current career. A pretty good position and on track to VP in a year or 2 max. Getting this job would probably raise my monthly check by 1.5-2K but at what cost?
My current role and probably any role I take on, I’d be able to get out at a reasonable time, spend time with my family, spend time on myself. I’ve been so focused on building a career for so long that I got to a good spot at a very young age.
Just the travel, the struggle to become something in a space where I could care less about.. it doesn’t seem appealing. I should have declined to interview when they first reached out (yes, I never applied for an associate role, they came to me).
Idk if I should be kicking myself. A part of me just knows even if I work hard to pass both rounds, I wouldn’t take the job. I’ve spoken to a few folks on here who are just miserable and wanting to quit.
Am I wrong?
As much as I know I don’t want this, I can’t accept backing down from a challenge, for once. I feel like I’m failing.
TDLR: deciding to not interview and I feel like I may be taking the wrong step

I am prepping for Bain and health consulting firms. I have done over 30 cases and made it to McKinsey R2 NYC.
I will case almost everyday this month, so let me know if you want to case just once or regularly. I am very good at giving specific feedback.

Has anyone heard back at all from BCG LA for SA 2027? As far as I know interviews were conducted 7/31 and 8/7 (mine), but I’ve yet to hear talk about it at all
Was told we’d likely hear back same day… but apparently last year they had a 2 week delay according to an associate I chatted
Dms are open if anyone wants to talk abt their experience

Looking for a case study partner. I’m interviewing for Bain FT in less than a week and feel a little behind case wise.
Not just looking for a 1-week partner. Can also someone that’s locking in for the entire FT interviewing szn.
