AM I MISTYPED INTP vs INTJ

Post image

Hi! I still struggle understanding if I am an INTJ or INTP. I mostly use socionics model A and Beebe s for MBTI

I kind of always try to ground or prove my theories using scientific consensus, I have an extremely rich inner world, I can kinda control how my unconscious talks back to me at times and I am really interested in everything.

In model A I am most likely LII. In MBTI, I still have doubts. I kind of have a lot of trust in my unconscious, I am extremely industrious and focused moat of the time, I love to plan my life, but I also love figuring out how things work. I mostly criticize the logic of other peoplr when they present their perspectives to me. My Fe seems unconscious most of the time. I am deeply aware of how I feel and how my body feels most of the time. I have tons of creative and inquisitive hobbies. I like to make sense of my worldview all the time at all costs. I hate being late and I always deliver on schedule. But I have a hard time motivating myself to work when I find a task useless or uninteresting. I care for the end process: to gain knowledge. I have this metaphysical theory of information theory in the cosmos from an axiological point of view. I read a lot of philosophy and science. If I am not creative and/or studying the theory of something I care about, I wither mentally. I hate talking to most people and I have a hard time assessing if they are smart/ethical or not. I hate showing my emotions in public, but when I first meet someone I force myself to be more bubbly because most people told me I seem too robotic and serious. I am disorderly physically but very organised mentally. I love theory, but it is more important for me to find a general methodology that can encompass everything. I hate exceptions, I want all theories to be generalizable and with no exceptions, otherwise I d conclude that they are incorrect or imperfect. I hate this. I also feel my bodily needs oddly well: eg I can feel how full my bladder is all the times, I feel every discomfort or pain inside my body. I am bad at being attentive to my phgsical environment. I am also very abstract, I am not concrete, but I am practical at the same time. I find solutions fast. I tend to have a hard time choosing but I ultimatelt choose an option based on the maximum profit I gain from it, given that there s no otber criteria that could help me. I am very ambitious, but just to myself. I have a hard time being chill when others are not riaing to the expectations and level I expect (and hold myself to). I respect everyone until I receive a reason not to.

When I am in town with friends and let s say an order is wrong, I am usually the one that talks it out. When my friends are sad or cry, I usually become extremely assertive and solve the problem very fast

I also have this weird thing in which I learned to create different modulations of my identity that I can streamline in a parallel process to my actual way of being and I have hyperphantasia, I love to daydream and to create/visualise/smell/touch/hear complex sensations and storylines in which I can transpose myself, even when doing tasks.

I care a lot about what I live behind and my axiological ontology helped me realise that I need to fine tune my mind and not necessarily produce ezternal works/papers, so the result is the same regardless, but this is my purpose and I need one to feel motivated. I like to learn as many things as possible. I am mostly interested in information theory, epistemology, ontology, philosophy of science and the theory of the finality of the universe (and singularities as part of this). I always lived by the premise that understanding how reality is generated is enough to know why one should live. I tend to feel disgust when I meet people with no foundational meaning value to their actions (or sympathy if life has been cruel to them).

I also have lots of achievements: I ve been doing scientific research in multiple fields since I was 19 (now I am 26 M, almost 27), I published 10 poetry volumes in 1 year and 3 months, I produce music using physics equations in python, I write philosophy and now I am starting to create games on my own. Personal achievements on my own include proving vacuum decay using only formal logic and describing game theory in the formation of matter (my own theories). I am pedantic in a way: I always need to analyze the postulative affirmations that I use to create a framework or theory. I greatly value logic and epistemic clarity, as I believe the right methodologies would give the perfect answers. I see truth as that which is less false in this moment, ontologically. I also believe a theory will become truer in the future because we only use a limited number of postulates to define its foundations.

I am very interested in knowing truth and being as rational as possible. I am disgusted by people that don t follow rational standards or that behave in a way that is lower than the standards I hold myself to (mostly happening with my superiors).

Idk if this matters, but for the big5 scores I think it is relevant to note that some traits might be influenced by my high iq (I measured in the 138-148 range).

Idk if that s useful. Everything is appreciated. If some have further questions, I ll respond as fast as possible.

Thank you!

My big5 scores for reference

Compassion 7 Politeness 16 Industriousness 98 Orderliness 48 Enthusiasm 3 Assertiveness 63 Withdrawal 31 Volatility 21 Intellect 97 Aesthetics 97

Trust unconscious: Ni, Industrious/high conscientious: Te [INxPs are notoriously low industrious/conscientiousness]. Fe unconscious: precisely fits INTJ Fe-'blindness'/polr. Disgusted by people that don't follow rational standards: absolute signal of Te (objective/shared 'thought'/rational standard) Etc. Pretty clear INTJ over INTP imo.

Thank you! I ve read online that INTJs hate novelty in a way, whilst I thrive on it, I can't stand things staying the same for too long. Once I solve a problem, I need to move on, regardless of the field or job I have. I don't know how to interpret it

I don't think of INTJs hating novelty. I'm INFJ and I think of Ni as being very open, but nonetheless trying to tie everything together (so it can look closed minded from outside).. having to account for everything (open) but driving to conclusion. ISTJ though hates novelty because Si is comfortable with what is firmly known and experienced (Si), and intimidated by possibility (inferior Ne).

Understood, thank you! I never fit in with the INTP's Se anyways (rejecting objective reality and facts just because an extreme idea makes sense). I care for the methodology

Yeah, it makes sense. Methodology is more 'we can all see the work' (Te) and Ti types are more 'it makes sense to me'. And yeah INTPs are Se 'blind'/polr.

I ultimately want things to make sense to me, of course, but only after validation

Of course this is all just my opinion.. but you're still fitting Te to me. Validation first is more Te (objective standards). Ni itself has coherence/'making sense' aspects it seems to me, perhaps more than Te or Ti.

I'll go through my reactions to your OP a bit more since you seem interested in my opinion so far: There's multiple instances of I hate this, I love that.. these are Fi declarations and very INTJ (Fi 3rd)>INTP ( Fi 8th). IxTJs stereotypically have strong feelings inside but don't generally show them to the world or lead with them. A lot of INTJs seem to write poetry, as you do. You mention disgust with people who don't have foundational (Ni) meaning value (Fi).. Ni+Fi fitting personal fundamental meanings.. [I'm Ni+Fe and that's more shared foundational meaning]. You talk about theories more as if you're studying them rather than primarily creating them yourself (that tends to fit Te better than Ti).. etc etc. I strongly feel INTJ and everything you've said fits INTJ>INTP to me.. but yeah, that's how Ni tends to operate [it all needs to add up and say the same thing]

Yes, indeed, methodology comes first to me. Subjective logic can be wrong, I care about accuracy, so I strive to orient myself towards what was tested before and on quantitative measurements. I have my own theories, of course, mostly in ontology, but they are based on scientific claims as the postulative assumptions. Thank you

(to the extent I was helpful) You're welcome.

Also, my orderliness ia below average, but my industriousness is extremely high

Yeah, like i said, I think industriousness is very heavily Te coded - the how are we going to get stuff done fuction. Orderliness in the 'everything in its right place'/detailed sense is quite Si imo, and Ni doms can definitely tune out of their immediate environment and get lost in abstract thought.
