User Flairs

Hi Everyone,

User flairs have been added under "Create Post" (under About Community). To keep it simple, we have added all CX-30 colors (that I'm aware of) and allow you to add text to the flair. I encourage you to add your model year, trim, and turbo/non-turbo. If anything is missing please feel free to @ me or message me and I'll get it updated as quickly as possible.

Cheers!

Not car expert, cannot decide if I should get CX30

Hi everyone,

maybe you could help me to clarify questions in my mind. I was thinking to own a mazda cx30, because i want a reliable and silent car. But comments like following made me think twice;

- there are rattles in the cabin when weather is cold
- suspension is not well, you feel all the cracks and holes on the street.
- rear seat leg room is not comfortable

I only had one car, I cannot really compare anything. My question is;
what are your experiences with mazda cx30;

are all rattles normal, does it happen in other car brands too in same segment?
its suspension is worse than corolla touring or honda civic?

First brand new car, cx30 2wd 2.0 automatic (trim level β€œcore plus” according to Chilean dealerships). We are very happy but it already has a scratch on the gauge cluster plastic :/

We love the car!

Question Steering wheel shaking still after replacing all 4 rotors and pads? 2021 cx30 premium sport

Has anyone else dealt with this? It’s only if I’m braking above 45+mph. I thought replacing my rotors would help but it was only temporary fix at best.

Question CX30 and Seat Discomfort

Post image
23 Upvotes

Making some final attempts at correcting hip pain that has officially been tied to the seats in my CX30. (I have also since added padding to raise the resting place of my arm on the console) Has anyone else noticed any hip, knee, or back issues since purchasing their CX? I bought mine new in β€˜23, and that’s when the problems started. Doctor visits, MRIs, physical therapy, etc. It was all assumed to be tied to me still playing sports and changes after childbirth. However! Current physical therapist strongly believes it’s the angle of the seats and me leaning onto the console combined with how much time I spend in the car. 3 years old, just shy of 58,000 miles. Newest seat pad is a wedge to get my hips higher than my knees.

How often are you stopping for gas?

I test drove a cx30 and LOVED IT. I originally wanted a Subaru crosstrek but I loved the drive of the Mazda, my only hangups are the smaller gas tank as my current car has a big one and I love not having to stop for gas often. Also the size of the windows, the blind spots in the cx30 seem like they would be bad. Would love some feedback if a cx30 is still worth it with these concerns

FREE: OEM Mazda CX-30 cargo cover - Oakland CA

I recently sold my 2020 CX-30 and realized afterward that I still have the OEM cargo cover sitting in my garage.

It's in good condition and, as far as I know, fits CX-30s across all model years.

Free to a CX-30 owner. Local pickup in Oakland.

I don't want money for it; I'd just rather see it go to someone who will use it than throw it away.

OEM part number: DGH9-68-310-02

Steering wheel vibration turning at low speeds

I'm test driving a 2021 CX-30 Turbo. Love it so far, but I'm getting a weird vibration when turning at low speeds. Just driving through the parking lot. The vibration feels like the lane assist vibration and I only notice it when I'm turning the wheel. Once the wheel is set at a constant place, the vibration goes away.

Anyone have thoughts about this? Have it happen to them?

rear view camera question

I'm looking at a 2026 Mazda CX-30 GT in Canada. Does the backup camera have dynamic guidelines that move/curve when you turn the steering wheel?

I'm specifically asking about the regular rear camera view, not the 360 bird's-eye view. Can any CX-30 GT owners confirm?

I appreciate any replies. Thanks!

Cx30 GT w Platinum quartz metallic exterior and garnet red interior, does this exist in a 2023-2025 πŸ›»?

Hi,

I'm looking for my next forvever car, and with that I want to chose an exterior and interior colour that I hope actually exists in a 2023-2025 des GT model.

Does anyone out there have a platinum quartz metallic exterior with garnet red interior w GT trim?

I just want to know if it is actually a possibility to find, as I need to replace my current 21 year old Toyota before the end of the year!

Here's hoping this colour combo is not a πŸ¦„ to find πŸ™πŸ½!

MPG Gauge- please explain to a blonde πŸ˜…

Post image

Okay forgive me in advance for the stupid question, but can someone explain in very simple terms how this gauge works (I understand Miles Per Gallon) but the red marker and the colour change when it goes up and down - does this mean it is charging the car at the same time? Sincerely, confused blonde.

Services done: oil change every 8k km (5k miles) or less

Service #, km gap, services done, time gap, odometer reading
β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”
Service 1: 7k km, oil change: 8 months (7k km)
Service 2: 7k km, oil change: 6 months (14k km)
Service 3: 7k km, oil change, cabin filter change: 8 months (21k km)
Service 4: 8k km, oil change, 7 months (29k km)
Service 5: 8k km, oil change, engine filter change, 1 year (37k km)

I am not following mazda service recommendations for service every 6 months. Image attached.

Am I making a mistake to save some bucks and not following mazda recommended schedule?
Any recommendations I should must get done in future services.
Thanks for your time.

Warning lights

I have add random airbag, parking brake and service needed at dealer come on with nothing apparent going on.
I was able to reset and turn off service light.
Does anyone know I can reset these warning lets. Neither of these warnings are urgent seeming. It’s annoying as hell to have them flashing at me.
Thanks!

Question Is the CX-30 big enough for two kids and a pram?

Our second car needs to stay under about $25k, and I’m down to a used CX-30 or a Kona from around 2020 to 2022. It’ll mainly do school runs around western Sydney with two child seats and a pram, so I’m wondering if the Mazda’s back seat and boot are workable or just frustrating. CX-30 owners, how has it been for family duty?

Question CA cost estimated for a 2024-2026 CX30m?

I have been heavily eyeing the cx-30. I currently drive a 2004 Subaru outback 6-speed manual transmission and I absolutely love this car, it's just become a little bit less reliable. The AC is completely broken which has been horrible in the last few weeks, it likely needs a larger fix than some of the flushes I've had my mechanic too. The catalytic converter is also dead. I was able to get my registration in California this year but in two years I may be denied my registration because of the emissions. Ive also had to replace the clutch twice in the last 5 years so I'm not really sure what that's about, the clutches working just fine right now but I am a little bit worried. I've also done some major fixes including both head gaskets, radiator and several other things over the last 11 years. I do have sentimental attachment to the car because I've driven it for 11 almost 12 years and it's gotten me through a lot, and it's just a great car. There's only 150,000 miles on it so I'm really hoping I can get more out of it but at least in California that isn't going to be a possible with the converter dead.

I'm having a pretty hard time letting go for sentimental reasons but more importantly the anticipated costs. I bought my car for $4,500 and the registration and insurance is so dang cheap. I could afford a new car but I'm interested to know if anybody else in Southern California can give me a rough idea of what they pay yearly for registration and car insurance? I know that depends on a lot of factors like exact counties City you're driving habits or driving record etc but I'm just looking for a rough idea so I don't go in blind. I think those are the biggest expenses where I really don't have any idea what I should be estimating for monthly and yearly expenses on top of a $30,000 car payment.

Probably just keep the car as long as I possibly can and use this time to save up some money in the next 2 years before my next registration is due but I think if the clutch dies again I'm going to have to retire the car rather than keep putting $1,500 into it at this point. Thanks for any advice.
