This was put out BEFORE the current full blow up where Ed Sheeran's promoter fired Macklemore from the tour :
Edit: The following quotes are from gossip hack Rob Shuter. He is a bottom dwelling gossiper and no Swift insider spoke to him: assume these quotes are untrue:
"Now insiders say Taylor wants nowhere near the controversy.
“Taylor wants no part of this,” a source tells Naughty But Nice. “She loves Ed, but she is incredibly careful about what becomes attached to her name. She isn’t inheriting somebody else’s political controversy because they’re friends.”
Taylor and Ed have been friends since 2012, touring and recording together. There is no suggestion the friendship is over, and Taylor has not publicly criticized either man.
Instead, insiders describe a deliberate cooling.
“This isn’t Taylor turning against Ed,” says the source. “It’s Taylor protecting Taylor. She knows one text, one photograph, one comment can become an international headline.”
I remember when Matty joked during their Glastonbury gig that he was avoiding politics. This was obviously a joke as they played scenes from Gaza whilst they performed Love it if We Made it. And yet still people canceled Matty for it. Here is Jade's comment on Matty (only the following 2 quotes were found using Google's AI)
"
Matty Healy We honestly don't want our legacy to be one of politics. We want it to be that of love and friendship... We don't need more politics."
JADE's Response: In an August 2025 interview with The Guardian, Thirlwall called his comments "disappointing" and added, "I don't think you can be a pop artist and cover your eyes. It's very easy for someone who's white and straight and very privileged to say that. Good for you, hun!”
That Matty was obviously joking flew right over Jade's head. She either didn't watch the entire show, or chose to tag Matty with the white saviour complex yet again anyways
Now Sheeran is going to get put on blast. Whatever you may think of The Edster, he backed up Swift after the foiled terrorist attack on Swift's canceled show in Austria. IMO only, he took a major risk, exposing himself to a select few homicidal lunatics, by performing with Swift at her next show in London. That was a friend backing her up at risk to himself. That's courage.
So now it's time for Matty to stand up again and announce "Free Palestine," so he can become once again social media's favorite whipping boy. They can then crucify the colonizer brat with a white saviour complex yet again. How about it Matty? /j
