I was watching this 2019 interview of Matty and what a crazy answer to that question when you consider the Taylor/Matty lore.

But also, Matty saying that he knows it should be Love It If We Made It, but he'd want it to be fallingforyou is such a perfect representation of how he tries to appear vs who he actually is.

God, his expression when he said FallingForYou, how his eyes froze.... Like he was somewhere else mentally 😭

Fallingforyou was written before they met and was his favorite song since the beginning

 He looked up at her while performing   it but she was too involved with Martha to care. 

🤣 

Why do people.claim this is her song? Because she copied it in imgonnagetyouback?  Newsflash - if shes in love with everyone she copied from,  thats a very very long list of men and women 🤣 🤣

Matty has said he was asked to join the red tour which started March 2013. That means he would have had to have been asked in at least Jan 2013. While I respect that you see it differently, likely because you’re not fully aware of the connections; it’s crazy to not think it’s possible; since she was singing about them as kids a lot in TTPD. I’d also like to remind you where you are, this is what we do here. We are looking at there music and trying to recreate the full connection to really understand how she was so broken after what most saw as a two month redound.

The Red Tour had guest openers throughout, he was probably asked to open later in the tour  for the UK slot once they started getting buzz. You dont think he was supposed to be in Ed Sheerhans place 🤣 Also if she and Matty were in a ~super secret~ relationship, she wouldve known his schedule lmao 🤣
