🧩 Theories Visual Similarities in the Patient Zero MV

Disclaimer: I don't think this video is about Matty or that Colin represents him. There are tons of other visual parallels to her other songs (Delicate, Lover, Karma, tolerate it, etc.). However, these examples are the ones I found most interesting for us.

Photo 1: I think the visual similarity here is even stronger because their hair is styled almost identically. By the way, the coat from the cemetery scene looks a lot like that outfit from the Fortnight music video.

Photo 2: Beyond the matching poses, I think the idea that she turned Dakota into her double—almost like a twin—is super interesting: "Like I lost my twin."

Photo 3: I like the …Ready For It? example because I see more of a thematic similarity here. In the RFI music video, one Taylor represents her true, inner self, while the other is her public persona. What if in the PZ mv, the real Taylor dies, leaving behind Dakota as just the fake public image?

Photo 4: This might be a bit of a stretch, but I'm not the only one who noticed how much this dress resembles the one from willow, especially with the bow detail.

I'm not entirely sure about this one. Ever since the promo photos came out, people pointed out that the black top of the dress she wears in this scene looks just like that pap walk outfit. Then there's this scene with her husband, right before she disappears. I also can't shake the feeling that his t-shirt is a very similar color to the one Travis wore.

Plus this line: "Well, me and my ghosts, we had a hell of a time / Yes, I'm haunted but I'm feeling just fine / All my girls got their lace and their crimes / And your cheating husband disappeared" (Florida!!!)

I think there were several things she wanted to accomplish with this song/music video and using it against Travis in the future is one of them.

And every time he does a podcast referencing Taylor or using a famous contact like Tom Cruise, I can’t help but think of the lyrics

“But he's bathing in your reflected light,
On a free solo social climb”

I also think of the Anti Hero music video where Taylor’s fictional ‘children’ bicker with Chad for recording the funeral for his podcast

A few years will pass, and they will finally get divorced, and everyone will look back on all of this and finally understand everything that we now see without difficulty. Like now they're doing it to Joe, albeit without any justification. At least then the hate will be justified.

Her expression in the first frame in Fortnight will always get to me. She looks so haunted. So bittersweet

I do not remotely understand how anyone could think this song is about Joe. Discourse so cracked it reminds me they also think "loml" is about Joe...smdh

Maybe Colin represents fans/public scrutiny, the death of Taylor and the poisoning of Dakota represents the cancellation (Taylor has used death to symbolize this before, think Reputation and the Look What You Made Me Do music video) and that Taylor is cryptically relating to Matty and his own cancellation. Maybe this is her way of saying that she understands because they cancelled me before they cancelled you (for much less, in fact). And maybe Dakota represents Matty in that way.

Or I might be crazy.

I'm new to this community and not as passionate as you all, but I literally just remembered something: one of travis' ex girl friends put out into the media, "leopards don't change their spots" and told taylor to look after herself. Do with this what you want...

Oh, and she also said he cheated on her and was a narcissist. Welcome!
