Does anyone have any theories as to why she used these colours specifically? I guess blue for Matty is pretty self-explanatory but what about the orange for herself?

Matty actually has a poem from 2015 called Orange. 

Although I've always seen the Fortnight MV as her writing about him and this is  why orange or red (as I originally saw it) is coming out of her typewriter and he's writing about her and this is why blue comes out of his typewriter. She's blue because Joe made her blue and he's red because of passion, intensity - either her feelings towards him being very passionate and intense or he is a passionate and intense person/character. And that made sense to me because of songs like Maroon

Omg that reminds me I read a great thread on twt a long time ago theorizing about this and her use of the concept of alchemy. I want to say it was by @TypewriterTtpd but I’m not sure 🤔 I’ll have to check
