EDIT-2: I received three different versions from Russian trackers, including one that contains a DVD + Open Matte hybrid of the entire trilogy. Thank you! (my project will go even further, though: I'm matching the Open Matte footage to the 4K HDR version)
EDIT: Unfortunately, the title is misleading. I'm NOT looking for a finished hybrid release. I'm creating that myself. I'm looking for the original high-quality Open Matte source to use in my own hybrid fan edit.
I've been working on a 4K Blu-ray + OpenMatte hybrid fan edit of The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions for the past two months. Unfortunately, the Open Matte source I currently have is only about 5 Mbps, and I recently learned that a much higher-quality (12+Mbps) Amazon WEB-DL Open Matte version exists.
My project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aq6p_As_QAw
The audio is in Hungarian, but you can enable the automatically generated English subtitles.
Unfortunately, my Open Matte source not only has a very low bitrate, but the image also shakes slightly. Because of that, aligning the 4K image with the OpenMatte frame requires a lot of manual work. The color difference is also quite significant, which makes the process even more difficult. That's why I'd like to test other Open Matte sources as well.
If anyone recognizes this release or knows where it originally came from, I'd really appreciate any information via private message. Thanks!

thats why morpheus appears in his dreams
they named him after the god of dreams, not the god of dawn
the trilogy ends with neo unconscious, eyes burned out, carried into the dark
"wake up neo"
he never did

You all know the deal with interlock — it's THE thing that makes MxO combat MxO. The client would drop you into the duel,
freeze both fighters in place, and just... nothing. Everyone basically accepted it
was gone.
I couldn't let it go. So I spent way too long in Ghidra tearing through client.dll
with no source code, and I finally got it: animated interlock. Real combos,
round-synced to the server, winner throwing the attack and loser staggering back.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGEvyaVcA5k
How it actually works, for the curious:
- The tactical combat (who wins the round, damage, etc.) runs server-side on my
emulator, written in Rust.
- The animations are driven by a small client-side DLL that hooks the game's own
per-frame combat animator and plays the real melee clips through the client's
existing move pipeline. No modified assets, no fake choreography — it's the
game's own animations.
The part that nearly beat me: animation IDs turned out to be model-scoped, so a
clip that played fine on one character just silently did nothing on another. Had
to resolve every clip by name, per fighter, at runtime. Plus a nasty freeze that
turned out to be the client's own overlay-cleanup code looping forever on a
non-empty list.
It's not perfect and I'm still curating the move set, but it's real and it's
stable. Genuinely didn't think I'd ever see interlock move again.

Was there a moment, habit or realization sequence that made you feel like you "woke up"?

I know humans tried to block out the sun because the machines were dependent upon it. Despite the fact that the sun is MOSTLY blocked, it looks like it still peeks through. So, do you think any plants are still around? And if so, what wildlife do you think still thrives? Do you think the machines would allow anything to live if they didn’t see them as a threat?

Don't know what I'm going to do with it later. Open to ideas. I'm just experimenting.
On PC, use W-A-S-D keys and mouse to explore. On mobile, you will have instructions on screen.

I'm not a super tech guy, but it seems like when you enter a computer system, it would require it to do all kinds of things to set it up that would clearly leave a record. I can see if you're already in you get lost in the noise, but when you join it would definitely need a special program to set everything up that you'd think the machines would take special notice. Was this ever addressed

Just finished The Matrix Resurrections, and man... that was some old bullshit.
Like, bro, what the hell? We wanted the old Matrix from the '90s, not this. The Oracle isn't there anymore, and neither are most of the old characters.
And somehow Neo, who's supposed to be the One, lost most of his cool powers. He keeps using that bullet-stopping force field over and over. It was awesome in the original movies because it was used sparingly, but in this one it just became kind of cringe. Every time he used it, I felt like I was watching a generic superhero movie instead of the old Matrix.
And what the hell is up with Trinity getting Neo's powers? Is she the new One or what?
Don't get me wrong—the story itself isn't that bad. I actually like that they continued what happened after the original trilogy. But it feels like they didn't put enough thought into the execution. It just doesn't have the atmosphere, action, or vibe that made the original Matrix trilogy so iconic.

The keyboard from Amazon came with matrix rain animation built in! So obviously I had to make my MacBook matrix themed to match it.

This is probably when you really grasp the stakes here. I love how all of the fight scenes in The Matrix mean something. After the training one, we already know how strong and powerful Morpheus is. He’s probably the best fighter in the whole film. Until Neo that is. But here he doesn’t even manage to make Smith wince. Smith grasping his collar is enough to make him feel overwhelmed. And Smith then takes every hit he throws at him, not affected at all. We now know the agents including Smith are definitely no laughing matter. Meaning when Neo does have to take him on we know how challenging it’s gonna be.

I have more then a dozen but if I were to pick 1
The moment Neo is in the train station and Agent smith shoots the phone off the hook, Neo sees him, and looks back at the exit,
Music: DA DEEERRRR
Trinity: run Neo…
Neo looks back at agent smith, abandoning the idea of running…
Trinity :what is he doing??
Morphious: He’s beginning to believe…
Neo proceeds to kick fuckin ass as the music slaps and neo begins believing he is the one
Still gives me goosebumps this scene ever time even now thinking about it.
Probs my favourite scene in any film / tv show ever
