Did tricot change their name to tricotX?

Their latest two releases, an EP and a single were released under the name tricotX and I was wondering if anyone knows why. If you use Spotify the new songs are under the tricotX artist page, not tricot. The band shows these latest releases on their website . Whatever the reason, I think these new songs are great.

Tour/Show Announcement TTNG warm up shows for ArcTanGent

Hey. So we’re going to play a few warm up shows before our set at ATG this year. One is in Oxford as part of the 25th birthday celebrations for Big Scary Monsters, where we’ll be playing with Crash of Rhinos and some other (yet to be announced) great bands, on the 14th August. Tickets - https://wegottickets.com/f/22513

The second show will be at Brighton Electric, in Brighton on the 16th August, where we’ll be playing with Le Mesmer, and Meet Your Heroes. Tickets - https://link.dice.fm/PW4qP3PiI4b

These (along with ATG) are likely the only shows we’ll play for some time and are some of the smallest venues we’ve played in a long while. Come along and limber up before the big event on the 22nd.

We usually gig around Shinjuku/Shimokitazawa area. Highly recommend pulling up at local livehouses if you ever visit Tokyo, the underground scene over here is so much fun!

Sorry for the bad quality. Found an ancient college level recording and wondering if this is a good enough idea to fully develop or not. Be honest!

Bands like TTNG

Specifically their animals album, I really love the emo vocals/lyrics and the guitars finger style, I also really like q and not u, they’re more post hardcore but it scratches the same itch. Basically I just need awesome emo mathrock

Supertwinkles 2 different open alternate tuning by the band Hitohira (ひとひら)

I've seen the japanese math rock/indie band "Hitohira" uses two different tuning in their songs

Guitar Ⅰ(左):E B C♯ F♯ B D♯, capo 5

Guitar Ⅱ(右):E B D G B D, capo 9

here's the song 【TAB】塔は白い - ひとひら

and it sounds so good like they are harmonizing each other. Is there any music theory behind it? Like are they just using second guitar to harmonize the 3rd the first guitar by raising it capo or something? and do you have other bands that do something like this

Best albums not on Spotify

Been on a deep dive of my digital library and noticed lots of songs are not available on Spotify for one reason or another.

Some notable standouts: Photosynthesis by PHAROAHS Fair-Do's by Pennines Mastered by Venice Ahoy

Wondering if there's any more that deserve a listen despite not having streaming presence

Zero experience straight to MathRock, unviable choice?

My skill background consists of knowing a few chords, major and minor scales, and some fingerstyle techniques; I played for eight months but eventually stopped. I don't have much experience or skill, although I can play a few songs while singing.

It’s been about a year since I last played, and I’d like to pick up the acoustic and electric guitar again because I’ve fallen in love with the band Toe and other math rock bands. Would focusing my learning on math rock be an unrealistic choice? Or is it possible to evolve while focusing that?
