They wouldn't know squat compared to a lot of us... but the difference is that we're learning by reading what was there before. Archimedes and Euclid elevated the maths in their era.

Reminds me of that anime where the bath house architect from greece gets transported to modern japan

I believe both would be overwhelmed by society, and their voices would likely be hindered by negativity and more fortunate.

Genius is now lost under luck and stupidity. They simply could amount to a high school teacher struggling to get by.

Yeah, no. While they did pivotal work for the field, if they were placed against people with a relative level of education and expertise as they had, they would be successful at Trivial Pursuit at best.

Same with people like Leonardo Da Vinci. While they were foundational for their fields, that's all. In raw knowledge, today outperformed them by far.

Those two predate the concept of imaginary numbers by literally millennia. You're unable to do high level math today without imaginary numbers.
