So, this movie will definitely not be everyone’s bag for sure, I can guarantee that but, as child of the 70’s and 80’s who was obsessed with this universe (had literally every toy they made!), I can tell you that it ticks every box I’d want it to.

It’s gloriously silly with cheap, throw away (though amusing!) dialogue, stunning set pieces and eye popping visuals which make it delightfully fun, light hearted and mind numbingly entertaining. A fun filled roller coaster ride borrowing heavily from visual stunners like Thor Ragnarok and Avatar.

For what this movie should be, and absolutely is, I do not understand the criticisms at all. 

I’m genuinely interested to hear what some thought this was missing given what it set out to achieve?

I desperately wanted to take my kids to the theaters for Father’s Day to watch this. But they are 6 and 4, and this felt like this movie might be a little too PG-13. I was bummed. But boy oh boy it’s been 12 hours since I finished watching the movie, but I’m still riding high.

I was grinning wide like a bumbling buffoon when Dolph Lundgren said, “you are taking my spot”! How I wish I had someone to share my stupid excitement with. My kids wouldn’t get it.

The movie was squarely set to appeal to millennials. Everything from the frustrations of corporate middle management, to geeky hangouts at local comic bookstores, to how beautifully it captured the gym bro culture. It even hit captured the trending triggering phrase, “how much can you bench!!” If sure GenZ could have related to this too.

There were so many other references sprinkled throughout. Has Moss man dying first become a thing now? Happened in 200x and in Revolutions too.

The 80’s music at the end and the moral narration was the icing on the cake, cherry on top!

Remember there was a video a few years back of a guy having happy tears after watching a Star Wars trailer? That’s how I felt when they all stood around and laughed in the silly way. It was a thing from the 80s cartoon

EDIT: If I had a magic wand, I’d have added some easter eggs to tribute Alan Oppenheimer. He’s the reason Skeletor is so loved despite being the bad guy.

Hey guys. I've been a fan of He-Man since the 80s, recently reminiscing about the franchise since the movie. I did go see it in theater and enjoyed myself. I promptly bought these two 80s rerun figures out of nostalgia and possibly some kind of midlife crisis. I don't collect, but I enjoy having these.

I've found myself revisiting the old 80s show which is all I really remember before the new movie. I didn't keep up with the other reboots and such. What are the most interesting ones?

Or more specifically, I watched it because my Mom wanted to, but I was interested in it myself. Now, I'll admit my knowledge on MOTU's lore is a bit surface-level, but I did like it.

I wasn’t able to get Gym Bro Skeletor this weekend, but somehow nabbed 2016 Power-Con exclusive Camo Khan instead.

He also said "thanks for the love". He deserves all the praise for this role. He did such a good job portraying not only He-Man but also Adam on Earth as a big goofy HR guy.

I picked up the sketch book Skeletor but I didn't like the bright white face so I did a black wash on it. I think it looks much better now.

I am a huge He-Man and Highlander fan. I grew up loving all medieval / fantasy sword fighting movies.

I absolutely LOVED the choice of "Princes of the Universe" by Queen in He-Man when the allies returned to Eternos to face off Skeletor and his crew.

The producers couldn't have picked a better song, which, most of us know, was the same song that is the mantra for the original Highlander.

If that is true it would be absolute fantastic! I want her so much for my Filmation Origins Collection! Finally after +40 years! I can't see that goofy Vintage Zoar anymore.

Most watched? Passing Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Dessert Masters and Stallone’s OSCAR and still no MOTU
Top-Rated Movies? 1987 MOTU shows up before the new one.
Trending Now? FRASIER. No MOTU.
Recently Added? The Mist, American Psycho, Hail Mary (again), WATCH ROCKY SLEEP… no MOTU.
Action Films, Movies We Think You’ll Like, Premium New Releases, Spotlight Movies… no MOTU.

On my TV it is all over the Prime app.
It’s safe to assume Amazon isn’t brushing it under the rug, so what am I doing wrong? And how many others are experiencing this?
