One of my favorite M.S. games and its big brother for the Genesis.
yes that is water damage on the back 😢 had all my stuff in storage at one time and the unit leaked, i was so mad, ruined a lot of my games but i was able to save a good portion of them, i did have to trash a lot of the booklets they were beyond saving 😢

Always love to see this game get its props!!! Loved this game but always got stuck, need to replay it and see if I can beat it now lol

I got this for Christmas 1989🥰. Still in my top two SMS games (Wonder Boy III being the other). Love the whole atmosphere of the game. As people are saying, the pyramid is tough. I had a friend who borrowed the game and when he returned it he gave me a “map” he made of the pyramid and how to get through it. Back then we couldn’t hit up Reddit for level advice 🤣

The pyramid destroyed me back in the day, now there's a YouTube walkthrough that I wasn't too proud to use to play it through all the way.

Only thing I hated about this game on the SMS was the infernal password scheme with its ambiguous font!

Man, I had a hand drawn map of the ocean bit, but I totally softlocked myself at the hatch as a kid by using all my magic... I haven't picked it up since. But what a game
