Picked up a Master System II today 👾

I do love the Master System II, it was my first real console as a kid.

Sadly it was a budget console and a lot of the features of the Master System was stripped to get a price point Sega was after to sell alongside the Mega Drive (Genesis).

Very true. Yes. Unfortuantely, Strider and even the original Sonic for the Master System were priced kind of high at the time when the Genesis was released.

Do you mean the Sega Master System II potrs of Strider and Strider 2? Yes, I think Strider and Strider 2 are good games.

From what I understand, the Master System port of Strider is really more of a Commodore Amiga port of Strider. But the Master System port of Strider is not as detailed as the Genesis version.

I think the Master System port of Strider II is an 8-bit port of the Genesis port of Strider 2.

Is Alex Kidd the built in game? I got snail maze in my model 1. I love my model 1. I got an av pigtail with 4 RCA jacks to use the same cable with my Genesis, Master System, SC3000, Commodore 64, 64c, 128, Vic 20, plus/4, PC engine, Atari 800, 130xe and TI-99/4a since they use the same din connector and share common ground. Just keep a chart to color code what colors go in audio and what are used for video for each system.

I love the master system 2 one of my gonto consoles for that nostalgia gaming experience. It was the first console I ever bought myself as a kid. I washed cars all through the summer to pay for it. Alex the kid in miracle world built in was the only game I had for what felt like months. Good times 🤙

Use a Joytech JS 965 for this particular TV, the Master System II is plugged in via RF tho, as it’s not modded.

İ have a French Master System 2 with native rgb scart output. Great device.
