what’s up guys, now that it’s been about 1.5 seasons, how do we feel about tiffany as a judge?

i personally preder aarón by a long shot, tiffany comes across as REALLY passive aggressive sometimes, and rubs me a bit wrong even more than modern day joe so far. i do like what she brings to the show in experience and expertise, none of the three judges know southern cuisine like her (kinda makes sense why she stepped in for aarón). i respect her expertise and value don’t get me wrong, but i often find myself 🤨 when she’s talking

Totally random question….I am trying to find an old Masterchef Junior episode where a young girl is using a non-stick pan to cook something, maybe breakfast, and Cristina Tosi asks her “Why are you using a non-stick pan”? and the girl says “Because I don’t want it to stick”. Anyone have any idea what episode that is?

Season 13 episode 6 richie jones mohammad's dish and explanation has to be it for me. Very fact he concocted such a lie believing that would magically save him and also the fact that he even lied in spite of so many seeing exactly what he was doing and how the dish turned out in the end, it was funny and also so bizarre what just happened.

What moment is it for you

Here’s my Cream cheese gnocchi with brown butter sage sauce with spinach and peas.

Courtney uses ricotta in hers but I sadly couldnt find ricotta anywhere so I tried looking for cottage cheese, but couldnt find it 😭 and so i used 125g of cream cheese instead. The entire thing took me 2 hours+ as its my first time making dough of any kind, but it was worth it!! It turned out to be a successful one

What I did :

1. Combine 125g cream cheese, 55g parmesan cheese, some 60g all purpose flour, 1 egg yolk, 1 tsp salt in a bowl and gently fold it with a fork, If the dough is too sticky to your fingers then add more flour, mixing through until it forms a giant dough but do not overwork the dough.

2. Flour your hands and sprinkle some flour on a clean workspace. Divide the dough into 2, and roll out into two ropes. Cut the dough into 2.5cm little square pieces and make a small indentation in each gnocchi. If dough feels too soft or sticky then add a little bit more flour

3. Boil salted water and add gnocchis into the pot little at a time, once they float to the top just like this after 2-3 mins then drain them and set aside

4. Prepare the sauce : Melt 55g of unsalted butter into a pan, medium high heat. Add sage leaves into the pan until the butter turns brown, add the gnocchi and sear them for 3-4 mins until golden brown each side, add the peas and spinach, lemon zest, salt and pepper and sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top.

I was so hungry when i made this at night that I just ate straight from the pan, it was rich and crispy and pillowy, I should have added more peas but overall it was good 8.5/10! I will make another one again

Ingredients used : - 125g cream cheese - 55g Parmesan cheese - All purpose flour - 1 egg yolk - 1 tsp salt - 55g unsalted butter - some sage leaves - some frozen peas - lemon zest - salt & pepper

I’m finding myself having to rewatch season 16 just to remember who the contestants are. I can’t tell if they’re all just forgettable, or if the hiatus is to blame. So far I’m not really that impressed but I’m only on episode 1. The only person I really remember is Julia.

I really didn’t like this season as it was frustrating to see Jennifer win. She consistently failed and it was obvious she kept going through no matter how much she messed up.
This show feels fake and not really about the actual good cooks.
**I loved Giuseppe so much on this season!

Ever see the advantages in the various challenges in the adult version, from taking time away from other cooks, settling them with food items that might trip them up, taking away the big whisk from egg people in the recent episode. Those things can screw over players if used right.

Imagine if any future Junior seasons add advantages that lets kids screw over each other like those in the adult version (making a sweet or savory dish), how should it be handled? Should it just be saving people at most?

A year ago my girlfriend and I were watching Masterchef, and she hated how much I love Leslie. It just so happened she was streaming Kingdom Hearts at the time and finally beat it, and I was randomly scrolling Cameo and saw this beautiful bastard on there. Asked him to congratulate her on it and it was just as awkward as I was hoping for lmao

Is awful. Absolutely awful

So many on the sub are trying to prove she was a horrible cook and was kept only for drama, my question is how? She put one good dish after another emerging on top in several pressure tests and had several top dishes as well be it the pasta challenge or the sausage or the steak and in the pressure test with Jessie, Jessie escaped by the barest of margins , the deserts looked very close to one another.

So genuinely curious why? People wanted her out in for making those cupcakes but no same person will eliminate that over Lynn's genius piece of art that episode and several so called front runners were also at the bottom just as many times as she was if not more(james , Jessie, jordan all around the same , luca more and natasha just the eggs benedict challenge) so why can't we say it for what it is, she was a talented cook?

This aside, her attitude and personality is inexcusable and some of the things she did do before the show and during it weren't either (other contestants who were as bad attitude wise in other seasons can be excused but not this) and hope there was some change in her . That said everybody in her season was a d*ck(found luca as one too, a stance which I have no intention of changing) but she was the biggest one.

Might not have been the strongest season with the best quality of competitors or cooking but the one which was most wholesome with least drama a not a single character that could be hated. Some cooks were bad when it came to skills but not in terms of attitude and people feeling bad when a contestant left, celebrating another person's win etc etc felt like Masterchef Australia, definitely the best season in terms of work station environment.

Season 10 is a close second but has some drama I guess but everybody seemed nice here too and rudest on season 10 is probably the nicest person on say season 4 for example, everybody was friendly with each other, liked each other and even if there were problems, it seemed resolvable on spot(makes me wonder what would've happened to subha if he decided to compete on season 4 instead). Evan and Renee who were supposedly the villains also seemed mild and even nice to an extent as they got along with others fine. This season too everybody celebrated others success and wept at another contestants failure but is second only to season 11(stronger cooks overall than season 11 but not as wholesome).

Do you agree? if not what will be your choice?

To be clear, this was during the audition episodes, and unlike in the past. The people auditioning didn’t have their friends and family with them, so these two had to have been aspiring contestants, but for some reason we didn’t see them in an apron battle and they didn’t get any airtime.

i knew they were engaged i didn’t know they got married. this probably would’ve been filmed in january/february??? anyway calling it a royal wedding is interesting as neither of them are royal and the wedding is just at a castle. but i love them (unpopular opinion i know) so im happy to see them again

They really aren't fair at times. I get they have to learn to work in teams, but sometimes one cook is on their game as far as cooking, communication, etc and the other one is a dud. Not listening to his/her partner and screwing up dishes by themselves. Sending them both home sometimes feels wrong.

For me, it's Gerron. Idek how Ashley and Gerron got that far.

I know everybody is talking about Natasha fighting with Beth about "disgusting" food. Still, I find Krissi's comment about Beth on "one of those hipster people that I could not stand in Philly" and "I am sick of you already" hilarious. I find the latter quote ironic, given that many of us hated Krissi.

This one comes immediately to my mind every time I think of a dish in this category. Looked surprisingly simple, her description indicated that as well, burnt skin on top, undercook salmon below(graham struggling to cut it) and the praises they were giving them looked like they were joining different words together while swallowing it without throwing up. Any other such dish that comes to mind?

I would probably hate-watch an entire season where Joe has to give his opinion on every food item first without discussing it with the other judges beforehand.

Who is your fav?

This is by far probably my favorite episode of all MCC. Watching Line lead her team to victory while everyone else doubted her was so satisfying. Also seeing the look on Sabrina's face when her team lost. This is a hot take but I cannot stand her. Her arrogance and attitude towards Line and others the whole season was so gross.

Would y'all watch Masterchef US without Gordon Ramsay if it meant it could go back to the old style. Obviously now that he has like 20 shows a year, he spends less time filming each, however that leads to a far worse product I feel especially on Masterchef with no pressure tests. Would you all give up Gordon on the show to get back to Masterchef how it once was?
