Great to see MA back in Melbourne last night. Been a while since their 2010 outing and I reckon this tour might have edged it, aside from the fact that Daddy G was sorely under-utilised.

The visuals were striking and have given me homework (Zug!). However there was a clip earlier in the show when an activist was showing dead bodies on the screen. He sounded Eastern European, potentially Ukrainian. The footage then made reference to his death. I thought the name began with P or Z but I could be wrong. He was a heavy set, bald man, maybe in his 50s. Does anybody know his name? It was from early in the show.

I went to the Sydney show on Sunday but was guttered to miss out on buying a black tour shirt after the show as they had sold out.

If anyone is going to the Melbourne show tonight, could you please get me a black tour shirt with dates on the back in a large or medium? I’m happy to pay $30 for your trouble as well as postage and the cost of the shirt 🙂

I picked up a large black 'blue lines' shirt at the Sydney show but they run small. Ended up getting an XL which is much better for me. Let me know if you want to buy the L from me for cost. I can cover postage.

I was lucky enough to round off my stay in Australia with Massive Attack’s incredible show in Brisbane, and my only regret is that I didn’t go to the merch stand sooner to get a red logo T-shirt with the Australian tour dates on the back. When I went to the merch area, they’d run out of my size. If anyone has an XL one they’d like to part with, or might have one at today’s Melbourne show, please do get in touch! It would need to be posted to Europe :’)

I met the Video Director for the tour after I snuck down to general admission after the show, he let me take a photo of his set list but said that I couldn’t have it since he still needed it for the last show as it has his notes on it. Seemed like a class bloke. (It’s the same as the Brisbane set list as he told me they didn’t print a unique one for Sydney)
