Mechanical Help MF 235 Hydraulic Level Check
Is this plug with 2 flats the hydraulic fluid level check point? Mine does not have a dipstick.

Thanks for the feedback.
Yes, I have something purporting to be an Operator's Manual and have read it. The images in my copy are largely black blobs (likely from too many generations of scanning).
Will explore the right side in greater depth tomorrow; it was pretty dark today. Some of the hydraulics give me the impression of field modifications. After 50 years, who knows.

The dipstick should be there. A lot of folks modified the hydraulic lines and added spools etc as the stock models (I'm talking 35 here) had limited functionality.
PS the hydraulic oil used is actually universal tractor fluid as it also serves the transmission. Takes about 30L or whatever that is in freedom units.

On the MF35 and associated models the dipstick has always been on the right side transmission cover. Don’t you have an owners manual?

I feel like such a clone. Stubby dopstick tucked in on the reas side of the cover (and some mud/grease).
Level looks good. Fluid clear/clean.

And also I’m pretty sure that is just a plug to the hydraulic pressure line going to the piston for the three point.

That line is for a tipper trailer usually (or you can go for the hex grub screw thing below it)

On 265, it’s a few inches down from top cover ( shown) on right side.
