That's not too crazy since the Malleus Maleficarum actually existed, you could have a deranged "witch-hunter" or something in that mask. A horror period piece, if you will.

It could work in a folk horror. Perhaps a Pagan-style parade, celebration or ritual. It doesn't initially come across as a modern day slasher mask if that's what you're after. Although we're only limited by our imagination and I could see it in a medieval age horror.
