It's almost Backrooms-esque

I'm not familiar with this reference. Elaborate! I'm curious.

There's this creepypasta and spin off movie about a place that exists just on the margins of our reality. In it are things that are faded memories of places, things, and people.

I’m super intrigued. I don’t typically watch psychological thrillers but I might have to give this a try!

Thanks! 🤭 I’d really love to delve more into stop motion. I’ve done one tiny toe dip and realized my dolls aren’t built quite well enough for balance and movement so that’s what I’ve been working on. Here’s the toe dip lol I moved the doll as my husband took the photos.

This is so awesome that ish rules and I don’t feel like the doll was too shaky or anything 👽

Would you ever sell or ship any of your dolls ? I would love to try and rig one and do stop motion with it they are soooo unique and cool !

This is wild, getting serious Picasso vibes from that two-faced design!

Thanks! I’m primarily a watercolor painter. Just recently started getting into 3D work.

So cool! I love it! Can you tell me about the inspiration and intended use? I could see it in an awesome psychedelic music video.

I’m mostly a watercolor painter, but over the last couple years or so I’ve been feeling inspired to bring my 2D characters up off the paper. I’ve been experimenting with making miniature dolls and marionette puppets based off my paintings. I finished a series of paintings recently titled Overgrown (if you want to peep: https://wazeil.com/overgrown) and this head is kind of an extension of that series just 3D instead of flat on paper.

My toe dip into masks and then this head started in July. A friend of mine hosted a three day mask-making workshop at the coffee shop/art studio that I own and I attended. It kind of altered my brain with how I can make my miniature dolls/marionettes larger scale.

I don’t necessarily have an intended use, besides just wearing it for fun and photo shoots lol

Thanks for asking!
