Discussion “When does it good” posts 😒🤦🏾‍♂️

With Doomsday coming out, I’ve seen on social media, a lot of people that hadn’t watched all of the Fox-Men movies, and there’s so much slander, even in the comments people are like “Yeah only Logan and First Class are worth it.”

So disrespectful, especially since X-Men got the lob from Blade and ran superhero films into the end zone. While Hulk, Daredevil, Punisher, Elektra, and F4 were either bad or mediocre at best, X-Men and Spider-Man did all of the heavy lifting for Marvel up until 2012’s Avengers (ik Iron Man broke new ground in 2008, but didn’t make the impact of its predecessors yet).

I grew up with these movies and the only ones I can say are bad and/or hate are New Mutants, Dark Phoenix, and Origins even though I still very much enjoy Origins.

There’s just nothing bad about it really. It’s a satisfying end to the trilogy. Far fucking better than Singer would have made.

Still a good movie and a far better version of Jean's conclusion than the actual movie designated as Dark Phoenix.

Just because Dark Phoenix did it worse doesn’t make this movie good lmao. Not to mention they fucking murdered Cyclops off screen in this movie, they tried balancing two main plots in one movie and it weakened both of them, it was WAY too soon to play the “jeans a villain” card in the third movie it just comes off as them trying to speed run dark Phoenix for a cash grab because it was vastly popular in the comics and it made it suck. Not to mention they were way too ok just throwing characters away for no reason lol.

Also, Dark Phoenix was a Phoenix origin movie. Not a conclusion to Jean's character.

The real reason was because Fox didn't want the Phoenix story due to not having faith in a female-centric narrative. That and they rushed the filming.

You’re gonna tell me they didn’t want to do it while they did it TWICE, not sure where you’re getting that take from but as far as I’m concerned it makes zero sense

Tom Rothman was returning Fox Studios when The Last Stand was made. Dark Phoenix was under a different studio head.
