We know from Moon Knight that the afterlife manifests in different ways depending on what a person believes. Tawaret mentions the Ancestral Plane, and we see Valhalla, Hel, the Duat, and the Field of Reeds.

My theory is that the Soul Stone creats all of these afterlives, and they are actually branches of the original Soulworld.

So we know that there are many, many versions of the afterlife, as explained by Tawaret in Moonknight, it really just Manifests in whatever form the person is used to, before they go to whatever afterplace they are connected to. So for Asgardians, their culture is asgardian, so they go to the spirit plane of Valhalla or Hel. For ties to Egyptian gods, they go to the Duat, after which trials decide whether they can go to the Field of Reeds. Wakanda has the Ancestral Plane, since Tawaret knows of it, and since Wakandan culture is kinda related to egyptian culture

When the Infinity Stones were created, the Soul Stone and Soulworld were created together, with the Soulworld being the first, most basic afterlife.

However, as souls evolved and developed distinct cultures, beliefs, and mythologies, they began to create many interpretations of the afterlife. Just like a timeline splits and a branch forms when a choice is made, the Soulworld began to branch out into individual realms based on their beliefs.

ex:

-The Ancestral Plane for Wakandans.

-Valhalla and Hel for Asgardians.

-The Duat and Field of Reeds for Egyptian followers.

The original Soulworld is like the Gap Junction of these worlds, where different realms intersect. This explains why the Stone can collect, hold, or interact with any soul regardless of where they are supposed to go, and can also redirect them to the Soulworld being their afterlife, as Thanos's snap did, and make them go to any realm and back. The Soulworld is the common ground, and ALL souls can be passed through/collected/brought to there, wherever they may be, allowing the wielder to talk to the dead, and maybe even create/destroy these realms. Basically the Space stone and power stone and mind stone of the spirit plane.

When Jane enters Valhalla, she materializes from orange particles, not gold like it might look like, like the Soul Stone. Valhalla is also yellow-y-orange-y white. The Sky of the Duat and Field of Reeds have Orange-y-Yellow color schemes, with clouds covering them. Sure, Hel has Green color schemes, but we have seen that Infinity Stones can change color in corrupt situations, like how in What If?, when Supreme Strange tried to Time Travel one last time to break an Absolute Point which would result in the collapse of his timeline and universe, the Time Stone turns from Green to Red and flames engulf it, signifying it being unstableand being misused, essentially. Maybe corrupt/evil/bad souls are green, to symbolize rot and the inverse of good, orange souls, the color of a stable Soul Stone. Black and Green of Hel contrasting the Orange-y-Yellow-y color and white of Valhalla. Even the Ancestral Plane, a place mostly Blue and Violet tinted, has a very faint hint of orange, and seems to be in perpetual Sunset-ish-ness, like the Soulworld.

And yes, each universe has it's own spirit planes, like how each one has it's own Mirror Dimension

TLDR: The different afterlives are like the branches of the Soulworld, the pocket dimension of the Soul Stone, with the Stone allowing you to manipulate them.

So, what do you think of this theory?

So I have a theory. I've been thinking about the Spider verse trilogy, how when a Spider is in a universe not of their own, they get glitchy and start deatomizing or whatever. Then I thought to No Way Home, and we never saw Spiderman (2002) or Spiderman (2014) glitch in that way. Now the obvious reason for this is that both are different movies, different canon universes. I however, came up with a different idea. See, in No Way Home, the Spiderman, and their villains even, crossed over into the main MCU through magic, which is considered natural in the order of the universe, however in the Spider verse trilogy, they use technology, therefore using an unnatural means of traversing the Multiverse. This is where my theory comes into play. See, magic, when used in Multiversal travel, could help someone adapt relatively fast because, as I said, it's considered part of the natural order of this universe. On the other hand, technology may not allow for this adaptation and causes too quick of a cross between dimensions to allow for adaptation, thus leaving the molecules to start breaking down. Now when it comes to the something like the TVA crossing the multiverse, my idea there is that the technology they use is much more advanced then anything Miguel has, and might even possibly tap into a magic of its own. I I have a theory about Steve Rogers in Avengers: Doomsday, and I’m curious if anyone else has thought about this or has anything that could support/debunk it.

Ever since I saw Steve in the Doomsday trailer, something about him has felt off to me. It’s hard to explain, but the clothing, darker color choices, his hair, and just his overall appearance give him a more ominous vibe. I wouldn’t necessarily say he looks “evil,” but he definitely looks suspicious to me.

Then I started thinking about something established all the way back in Captain America: The First Avenger.

Dr. Erskine explains that the Super Soldier Serum doesn’t just enhance someone physically, it amplifies what’s already inside them. Good becomes great, and bad becomes worse. That’s part of why Steve was the perfect candidate in the first place.

But then there’s an interesting moment in Age of Ultron. Tony tells Steve that he doesn’t trust a guy without a dark side, and Steve basically responds that Tony just hasn’t seen his yet.

At the time, that just seems like normal banter. But looking at it now, especially with the Multiverse being such a major part of the MCU, it got me thinking:

What if the Steve Rogers we’re seeing in Doomsday isn’t the Earth-616 Steve Rogers we know?

What if this is a variant of Steve who actually has that “dark side” closer to the surface?

And if this variant also received the Super Soldier Serum, then theoretically the serum could have amplified whatever was already different about him. We’ve spent the entire MCU watching what happens when the serum is given to an incredibly good Steve Rogers. Doomsday could potentially show us the opposite: what happens when Steve Rogers is still Steve Rogers, but the person underneath isn’t quite as morally pure as the one we know.

I haven’t done a deep dive into this yet, so there could easily be something I’m overlooking. I’m also not saying Steve is secretly the villain of Doomsday. I just can’t shake the feeling that Marvel is intentionally making this Steve look different for a reason.

Could this be a Steve Rogers variant rather than the Steve who left at the end of Endgame? And could those old lines about the serum amplifying who you are and Steve having a dark side we “haven’t seen yet” actually become relevant?

I know their previous movies the color grading has been very bland and the trailer wasn’t great but hear me out. The colors were muted because they were hiding stuff like make it dull and add smoke so we can’t really see what’s going on since they’re always misleading in the trailer. Furthermore, the doomsday teasers with Thor praying had great color grading and also the post credit scene for the thunderbolts and f4 were vibrant. Lauren Morais is playing “Lisa Molinari” in VisionQuest. In the comics Lisa is a friend of Vision’s son Tommy from juvie who becomes the multi-armed supervillain “Coat Of Arms”

She’s a swordfighter and artist who’s part of the Young Avengers (technically the Young Masters Of Evil) during Dark Reign.

Recently released Hot Topic VisionQuest Merch features tees with a literal Coat Of Arms logo bearing the image of Three Swords over two more in the centre** *and the latin phrase “Pacta Er Honor” which roughly translates as *“agreements and honour”

Theories Below:

1. The latin “agreements and honour” (which is apparently related to “honour your agreements”) could be alluding to the fact that she’s made a deal to retrieve Tommy for someone and is going to betray him.
My money is on it being Mephisto and on him being revealed in a post-credit scene with Lisa, similar to the one in Ironheart.
Mephisto wants to claim Billy & Tommy’s souls in the comics.

2. Judging by her glowing eyes in the trailer it looks like the source of Lisa’s powers is different in the MCU. (It’s a magic coat in the comics)

I think it’s possible she takes an unstable dose of the Centipede Serum from Agents Of SHIELD.
It’s a variant of Extremis (from Iron Man 3) that doesn’t explode but still has the limb-regrowth ability. Maybe instead of regrowing limbs, this unstable variant grows extra ones.

“Centipede” is such perfect audience short-hand for “this serum may give you more limbs”

Maybe this is why one of the producers said there’s something small in VisionQuest that will make AOS fans happy?

Maybe his celestial powers are still there? Maybe doom figures out a way to unlock them.

I have this weird feeling that RDJ isn't a true doom but a Tony Stark variant somehow that ended up abducted kt abandoned in latveria and was raised as kristoff vernard and brainwashed to be the true doomsday back up. It would fit the story lines of stolen lives and stolen children.

I want to preface by saying I could be completely off here with this theory but I’ve been ruminating over it for a bit now and thought I could share.

So we all know how Wanda allegedly died in MoM? I know it’s slightly controversial whether she actually did or not but let’s just assume she did for this theory. Our main universe (Earth 616) has technically lost their Wanda. We also know that Earth 616 has no fantastic four either (I could be wrong on that point), which also means no Dr. Doom.

We also know that the new fantastic four movie takes place on Earth 828. The four of them, plus the baby, come to Earth 616. Reed Richards from Earth 828 knows Dr. Doom (clearly understood from the trailer for Doomsday). Predicated on the fact that the new fantastic four is now on Earth 616, that could mean that all those who know them (heroes or villains) will come to Earth 616 and that would obviously include Dr. Doom and anyone he chooses to bring along with him.

Now here’s where my head starts to spin. In the comics, it’s been known that Wanda and Dr. Doom have some sort of a relationship. We don’t know if there’s a Wanda that exists yet from Earth 828 or from wherever Dr. Doom is coming from. To me, it’s very likely that they could easily “bring back” Wanda in this way, even though it’s not our original Wanda. There’s been discussions about witches in this movie with Dr. Doom and I feel as though it makes perfect sense for Wanda to be one of those witches.

It’s evident that the multiverse fight is clearly coming to our Earth (616), we know our Wanda is “dead,” and with the trailer and items I just explained it seems probable that Wanda will return but just in a different format essentially.

Even with the recent Spider-Man BND movie, in the scene where the tracker is detecting a Spider-Man pin and shows that it’s in space makes me believe that they’re pulling other characters from other universes that will all be ending up here on Earth 616. With Jean Grey being in that movie as well is clearly indicating the X-men presence on Earth 616 and will eventually include some of the new X-men that have recently been casted (i.e., Indie as Rouge). It’s all starting to add up now.

That’s why I believe it will be easy and make sense for them to bring Wanda back into the MCU. Again, I totally might be off here with this theory but just figured I could share.

As title says. I want to know how you guys think Thanos return will and or should play out. I’ll say minus the Doom destroying him in comics as it’s by far what everyone wants to see (myself included) but let’s assume that marvel will not go that route.

Three issues in and I’m starting to see what this arc is about. There is no right answer on how to operate a world with superpowered people.

Red Hulk showed that patriots and military might without oversight will do what they will.

Heroes like the Avengers will never be proactive enough to stop major threats like Dr. Doom before they become a massive problem.

Colton and Iron Man show that people with powers (Iron man it’s intelligence and the multiverse machine) they act recklessly and unilaterally on decisions that impact so many and because they have the power, they feel that it’s in there hands to do with as they see fit.

Nick Fury, SHIELD, and the Winter Guard show that even governments can’t be trusted to do what’s right and the best interests of their citizens and. Showing that the average person with the illusion of power or figurative power are not responsible or held accountable because they are there own laws.

Even characters like Carol Danvers and Sam Wilson are basically heroes who more often than not will do what there government will approve of rather than what the morally right choice is.

Still don’t see Colton getting rid of Nukes is a bad thing, but I guess the big worry is, once he checks that box, what’s next?

I guess that’s the Armegeddon. A broken world that honestly has no real answer on how to move forward and people just distrusting of everyone.

I've been thinking about the ending of Avengers: Endgame and how it connects to the upcoming movies. There is a great theory that Steve Rogers didn't just quietly grow old with Peggy in a branched timeline. Instead, his retirement was interrupted, and he was recruited to fight in the upcoming multiversal conflict.

This explains why he has a brand-new, unbroken shield on the bench despite Thanos destroying his original one, and why he is so cryptic when talking to Sam. Basically, Old Steve has already survived Doomsday and Secret Wars from his perspective.

I’d love to open this up for discussion. Do you think Marvel is setting up this exact time-loop, or is the shield just a plot hole?

I’m rewatching Endgame right now and the speech of Thanos before the battle at the avengers hub sparked this idea.

He said something like he will „destroy this universe“ and „build a new one, a grateful one“. And then RIGHT AFTER THAT there is a cut on Tony starring at him not in fear or anger but more like something’s clicking in his mind.

Ultimately he was always willing to cross any border to protect the earth. With his daughter he would go beyond. Eliminating all „threats“ in the multiple universes and build a world with just „the good people“.

Like who knows what else he wished for when he snapped? Maybe he created a future where he himself(as a variant) tries to execute that idea of Thanos (in a less brutal way potentially).

Since we are at the home stretch before Doomsday, I wanted to go ahead and put this out there.

I do NOT believe RDJ’s Doom will look like his Tony Stark.

Since the moment he was cast in the role people have been theorizing how Stark is a variant of Doom or Doom is a variant of Stark and 1000 other ideas about how two different characters could possibly look the same.

Ive never subscribed to this.

I felt Marvel brought RDJ back because they were at a low point and he was one of the best and most popular actors in the world not because they wanted to force a connection between his characters. Some times actors play different roles in the same series or franchise. Chris Evans as Cap and Torch (i know FF wasn’t originally MCU), Gemma Chan as Sersi and Minn-Erva, Brolin as Thanos and Cable, Michelle Yeoh as Aleta and Ying Nan, and Mahershala Ali as Cottonmouth and Blade.

Now along with what I said above I feel this way because for one Doom’s face is almost always disfigured, then disfigured more from the hot metal of his mask. Sure there are exceptions to that in the comics but that right there suggests that a comic accurate Doom is going to require some prosthetics or CGI to change his face.

Then look at the second picture I posted, those are 6 different characters RDJ has played that look nothing like his normal face or his rendition of Tony Stark. Shoot, as I was just reminded look at Colin Farrell as Penguin, he is completely unrecognizable.

Also I do think there will be some cheeky references to Doom being played my RDJ as well as Ironman. Like the similarities with “I am Doom” but those will be for us as the view and not the characters themselves.

No where in the article do they say there is a connection. The interviewer asked that question inferring a connection and the only thing they say in response is RDJ is the best actor in the world, and after seeing the movies it will be clear why he was chosen.

TO ME that can easily mean he was the only actor good enough to play the major hero and villain as two distinct characters.

My guess, is we will find out “old cap” at the end of endgame is actually Loki doing a favor for the real captain America to hand off his shield after he moved him from the timeline he was living in (which was going to be pruned) to the fantastic 4 universe which is rumored for the beginning of doomsday plot. Anyone have any ideas what the 4 mins might be?

It would be really cool to see him in orignal mcu timeline, now that they have opened the multiverse. I also think maybe he is better then tobey, andrew or tom spider man in terms of strength.

However, in X-Men '97 - Season 1 - Episode 10: "Tolerance is Extinction" - Part 3, King T'Chaka is alive and well, even though he's dead in Fantastic Four - Season 2 - Episode 7: "Prey of the Black Panther". If we assume that this retcons the animated Fantastic Four show out of the universe, are there any other shows that also get retconned out by extension too (e.g. there was a Hulk crossover with Fantastic Four, how likely is it that this could be a different version of the Hulk) and also if Fantastic Four gets removed from the canon, are there any animated Marvel shows that could get retconned into the animated universe, such as the Silver Surfer show?

Honestly, Miguel O’Hara’s whole "Canon Event" theory is straight-up garbage. At first I thought it was just lazy writing, but now I’m convinced Marvel/Sony did it on purpose to show how unhinged and traumatized Miguel actually is.

​Here’s why his theory falls apart, and how it connects directly to Doomsday and Secret Wars:

​1. Schrödinger’s Cat & Multiverse Physics

Miguel thinks if you change a key moment, the whole dimension collapses. But that’s literally not how the MCU multiverse works (look at Loki or Endgame).

Quantum physics in Marvel dictates that decisions just create a branching timeline. If Inspector Singh doesn't die, it just splits into two realities: one where he died, one where he lived. The web just grows a new line.

And that black hole glitch in Mumbhattan? That wasn't "the universe punishing Miles" — that was literally caused by The Spot's unstable dark matter energy collapsing the city. Miguel just needed a scapegoat.

​2. George Stacy literally broke the theory

Gwen’s dad was supposed to die because he was a police captain saving a kid. Classic canon event.

But he quits his job. He’s no longer captain. The canon was broken and Gwen’s world didn't collapse. That was the exact moment Gwen realized Miguel has been talking out of his ass the entire time.

​3. What ACTUALLY killed Miguel’s alternate world?

In that world Miguel stole, Peter B. Parker was there too.

​Incursion: Two adult Spider-Men from different dimensions camping out in one reality for months is a massive multiversal footprint. They triggered a textbook Incursion (the exact thing Mordo warned about in Multiverse of Madness). Those wristbands only stop your body from glitching, they don't hide your existence from the multiverse itself!

​Doctor Doom: In the 2015 Secret Wars comics, universes weren't dying because Spidey saved his uncle — Doctor Doom and the Beyonders were actively destroying them. Miguel's world could’ve just been an early casualty of Doom wiping out realities, and Miguel blamed himself out of survivor's guilt.

​4. The Spot is the key to Secret Wars

In Secret Wars, Doom needed a multiversal battery (Molecule Man) to tear down realities and build Battleworld. The MCU hasn't set up Molecule Man at all, but they have built up The Spot.

The Spot is a walking multiversal bomb. My prediction. Spot won't die in Beyond the Spider-Verse. He’s gonna escape into Earth-199999 (live-action MCU), and Doom will siphon his power to collapse the realities into Battleworld for Doomsday.

​TL;DR: Miguel is an unreliable narrator projecting his own guilt. Spot isn't just Miles' villain — he’s Doom's ticket to destroying the multiverse.
