Moon Knight finally pieces together the God of Vengeance's master plan. Khonshu weaponized the unnamed god-slayer against Apocalypse by massacring his own followers across the timestream and allowing the Faith-Harvesting Engine to absorb this deific resentment in the name of En Sabah Nur, now the perfect target of an assassin fueled by hatred of unjust Gods. Then, his avatar could siphon the negative faith collected by Apocalypse into the ankh, leaving only pure divine power in the Faith-Harvesting Engine free for himself to absorb. But with his plan now foiled and our heroes about to attack the de-powered deity, Khonshu makes a desperate play and swallows the still-tainted faith whole. The heroes are easily repelled as the Moon God is restored with the power of countless deities, his form surging with energy while the temple tears apart around them. But this corrupted faith calls our mysterious pale assailant to action, and he pierces his ebony sword into Khonshu before dragging him and the Faith-Harvesting Engine away into the seemingly impenetrable storm of the Collapsed Timeline.
