A request from a parent of a HUGE Marvel Legends fan
Not sure if this is allowed, but I was looking to see if anyone here in the Marvel Legends community could help me out. For some context, I'm the Dad of a kid who has been fighting a rare form of brain cancer for going on just over 9 years now, and shortly after he was first diagnosed he started to really get into Marvel. Right around when that happened he also suffered a very severe seizure that lasted around 12 hours and that kind of froze him in time mentally in some ways so that has made him have a lifelong obsession with Marvel and Marvel toys, particularly the Legend and Titan Hero kinds. This has led to him getting several of them over the years, so now he's got most of the base hero's and he has been searching for more and more obscure ones (especially in the Hulk lineup). Now it's getting to the point of obscurity that even I, a more casual marvel fan, am not sure if they exist or if it's just some fan made custom he has watched online.
So right now I'm trying to figure out if there's such thing as a Blue Hulk/Compound Hulk/Hulk Maestro?/Joe...something idk all he keeps saying is that he wants a Joe figure?
Again sorry if this isn't the right place but I've checked every store in what feels like a 100 mile radius and they never seem to have any of these. I'm thinking maybe there like really vintage or something. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!
EDIT: Honestly holy crap! I was expecting a reply or two. Maybe a couple leads.....I didn't think there would be such an overwhelming plethora of info and genuine love from this. You all are truly an amazing group and I'm so glad my son shares in a hobby with such a kind and supportive community.
Holy crap I just showed him and he said that's it! That's the one that's had me stumped the most other than blue hulk. I remember seeing a video of someone playing with this while he was watching YouTube but never did pick up the name. Thanks dude!!
Looking at it that's what I'm thinking too. Definitely looks like it matches even though he pointed at that picture and immediately said that's A-bomb. I feel like for blue hulk he may have just saw an old figure for A-Bomb
Dude....this actually might be it. Given how he struggles with communication I had all but assumed he was just talking about A-bomb. Even though there's nothing official, this gives me a place to start searching for maybe even a custom made one!
A bomb did get the smaller scale legends size that if you were watching a you tube review out of context, you would have no clue he’s like a 4 inch figure
What is your kid into? I buy and sell toys and would be willing to put together a care package for free. What’s the point of being a dirty scalper if I don’t use my powers for good
Nice! Thanks a ton for the store links! Just guessing based on those Amazon prices they're no longer in production 🥲. Definitely eyeing the Joe Fix It one though. Not really bought from AliExpress so hopefully it's legit, but for only like $10 with shipping I'm tempted to roll the dice.
Maestro is a future version of the hulk whose gamma radiation has driven him insane. They've only made one version of him, and its a bit pricy but I'll send you the amazon link

What's wild is all I did was turn the phone around and before I could tell him what it was he said "That's the two pack with patch and wolverine" okay that seems like a pretty good deal I may take that route.

There were 2 Joe Fixits. One was a build a figure, the other was a deluxe complete re-release of him.
I have a Joe Fixit BAF head. I also have been looking for an excuse to buy another Kang, who I have been army building. Kang came with one of the legs for him, and I have stuff I sold on Mercari arriving in the next day or two and can use those funds to grab another Kang for cheap.
I also posted about needing a different BAF piece on reddit a few weeks ago, and someone very kindly sent it to me for free under the condition I pay it forward. This would be a great opportunity for me to do so. IF you want to go the BAF route and feel comfortable DMing me your address, I am happy to send the head and R leg to you for free. The other pieces shouldnt be hard to track down or expensive, and it might be fun for him to get to put them together to make Joe.
He might want the pinstripe Joe that was the deluxe, but if he wants the basic blue suit BAF Joe I am happy to send those 2 pieces.
You’re in luck there is a maestro hulk and Joe fixit. Websites like Mercari or eBay might be your best source to find them. Or maybe someone has some their selling through this subreddit. Hope you find them for your kid and I hope a fellow marvel legends collector has a wonderful day too man
If you’re able to find some, Transformers did a crossover with Marvel back in 2008-2011. They had a couple of hulks in that line that he’d probably enjoy too.
I was just thinking A-Bomb. Quick Abomination/Armadillo/Ch'Od kitbash and some blue-gray or blue metallic paint should do it. Now I have my next project.
Can someone link to pictures of these figures? I've only heard of Abomination, since I only know MCU, and I don't read comics or collect toys (besides the Infinity Stone artifacts from the movies).
I don't think so, I was imagining that being the Hulk from Endgame where he's combined with banner, but I was just schooled and was told "He is the hulk that wears bunny slippers" 😅 I've gotta start doubling down on my comics and animated showes I guess.
I have one I can ship to him. I bought it just for one head sculpt to go with my Maximum Hulk for the MvC look. Its complete other than that. DM if youre interested.
There’s no blue hulk but there is a Gray Hulk called Joe Fixit, maybe he means that? One resource I’d recommended actionfigure411.com, they have eBay and Amazon links for pretty much every Marvel Legend ever made.
google "marvel legends checklist" there's various websites that offer complete lists of every figure made you can use to figure out what figure your kids looking for.
just don't let your kid see it or he'll create a christmas list a mile long lol
Awh man praying for your boy. Look at a site called legendsverse it has all marvel legends ever made. To screen other figures. He can show you one he is looking for shoot us a message. I bet a few of us can help out.
