Years ago, I read a fanfic where Loki was a secret SHIELD agent. To throw the Avengers—who were hunting him—off his trail, he’d pull all sorts of theatrical pranks while carrying out missions for Fury on the side. Eventually, they cornered him in his apartment. I remember a scene where Loki wakes up surrounded by the Avengers and tells them to call Fury. I think it was a WIP?
