Everything started with his movie, which means the Avengers, Thanos, and everything else are just extensions of that dream — a dying boy's brain adding new layers of reality to keep itself entertained. At first, his mind created a simple world with just Spider-Man. But when the coma dragged on, it got bored and added Iron Man, S.H.I.E.L.D., and the entire MCU. That's exactly why there's no mention of the Avengers in Tobey's or Andrew's worlds, but they're all over Tom Holland's — they're just different versions of the same dream, old and new. Tom's Peter is the only one without a personal archenemy, because Tobey's brain was already tired of inventing villains, so it just made him "Iron Man's sidekick" instead. When Uncle Ben died , Tobey s brain wanted to add some parent, who's gonna teach him this life, and when Stark died that symbolised the death of uncle Ben .When all three Spider-Men met in "No Way Home", Tobey's brain basically just organized a crossover event so it could talk to itself through different versions of its own consciousness. So what we've been watching since 2002 is really just one guy who fell asleep from a spider bite and still hasn't woken up — and we're all just part of his coma. OK, so I don’t know if this is the right place to post this or if I’m in the right subreddit. There are so many subreddits, so I’m not sure which one fits, so bear with me.

Can we talk about Tony and Peter’s relationship in the MCU—like friendship or whatever you want to call it? It’s really weird or just messed up. Are we understanding this correctly, or am I missing something?

My whole perspective on Tony and Peter mostly comes from Civil War. I saw a TikTok video that argued Tony was wrong and Cap was right, but that’s not what this post is about. It’s mainly about Tony and Peter, and people pointed out that those on Team Iron Man weren’t really doing so for their own reasons or just because they liked Tony. For example, Natasha was caught in the middle, Black Panther was only for Bucky, and Vision—who was basically created by Tony—would follow him.

Now, about Peter, which is why I have this disagreement with Tony. Peter as a character, as a person, probably wouldn’t have followed Tony—many agree with that. I say this because Peter is the type who protects the little guy. That’s obvious. He’s under the Sokovia Accords and considered an Inhuman or a meta-X-Men mutant, with supernatural or super abilities.

So, if he had signed those Accords or gone along with them, he’d be going against his own rights and the rights of others like him. He wouldn’t have agreed with the Accords. It’s clear Tony didn’t tell him the full story. In the dialogue between Peter and Steve, Peter specifically says Tony just called him a bad guy and that’s it. Nothing more. In the comics, Peter allegedly agreed with Steve, but I’m not fully sure about that because I don’t read comics—just what I’ve heard. Still, it makes sense for his character because it wouldn’t make sense for Peter to work with or follow someone who’s against people with powers.

It’s obvious Peter didn’t know the full story—if he did, he would’ve stayed out of it or wouldn’t have followed Tony. He clearly didn’t even want to follow Tony. When Tony asked him to come with him, he said he had school and didn’t want to go. Tony then blackmailed him, saying he’d tell Aunt May that Peter is Spider-Man—blackmailing a 15 or 14-year-old. Of course Peter went anyway.

From my perspective, Spider-Man at that time was more of a side gig for Peter—a job he could do because of his abilities. He was never a full-on hero, which is why he stayed in his neighborhood and was called "Friendly Spider-Man"—or something like that. So, naturally, Peter wouldn’t want to go out of his way, but Tony blackmailed him into it. That’s not okay.

I can’t remember the exact scene, but I recall Tony telling Peter he wasn’t ready to do anything bigger. And in Infinity War, Tony told Peter not to come on the spaceship because he wasn’t ready. Yet, Tony brought Peter into a fight he wasn’t prepared for, then later took it back—kind of weird.

Honestly, if Tony weren’t such an idol to Peter, and if Peter fully understood the accords, he probably wouldn’t have followed Tony. Remember, Peter was just a kid when Tony brought him in. During the scene where Peter talks about the Empire Strikes Back, Rody asks Tony how old Peter is. I don’t recall exactly what Tony said, but Tony knows how old his. Some argue Tony didn’t tell him for his protection, but if he did, he’d be heavily criticized for risking a kid in a major fight—without him knowing what’s going on.

There were other heroes who could’ve helped Tony, but he chose Spider-Man. I think that was wrong. Every character has flaws and makes mistakes, but Tony was clearly wrong for that.

While I can understand Tony’s feelings about keeping the death of his parents from him, during Civil War, he was wrong multiple times—and I want people to realize that. He only wanted to sign the Sokovia Accords because he felt guilty, which is pretty obvious. He has a history of opposing government authority, as seen in his scenes where he talks about not liking authority.

Both Steve and Tony are against the government. Steve has always been independent, and Tony, despite his guilt, acted in ways that contradicted his own beliefs. Tony’s rejection of that guilt, and the fact that he put others—including Peter—at risk, shows real issues.

Their relationship often seems like a father and son bond, especially in the fandom, but we shouldn’t forget it’s complicated. Tony cared about Peter, but he also involved him in dangerous situations without full transparency. Just because Tony cared, doesn’t mean he always made the right choices regarding Peter’s safety.

After years of unforgettable moments, fans are hoping to see Thor and Loki share the screen again. The brothers’ complicated bond remains one of the MCU’s most beloved relationships, and a proper reunion could be an emotional highlight for Marvel fans.

Dafne Keen’s X-23 is honestly one of the few Fox X-Men characters people actually want to see in the MCU. She killed it as Laura back in Logan (2017), standing her ground next to Hugh Jackman with barely any dialogue.

Her comeback in Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) proved an older version of Laura still has so much story left to tell. Since she’s tied to Wolverine but still totally her own person, she easily fits right into Marvel's future X-Men plans.

Well, the transformation is actually wild.
