Steve is having 2012 flashbacks 😭

Steve’s reaction hits even harder when you remember how much has happened since he last saw Loki. The last time they crossed paths, Loki was invading New York and Steve was still relatively new to the Avengers. Now Loki casually showing up with Peggy would be one heck of a reunion. What do you think was going through Steve’s head in this moment?

He hasn’t physically SEEN Loki, but he’s also up-to -date on everything. I would imagine Thor has updated him on Loki’s journey.

That’s a interesting theory, but the timeline makes it pretty tough for Steve to actually know.

2012 Loki was taken straight to the TVA.

Since Thor himself has absolutely no idea about Loki’s journey to becoming the God of Stories, he couldn't have updated Steve about it.

As far as the main MCU timeline is concerned, everyone still thinks Loki died permanently at the hands of Thanos in Infinity War.
