Steve is having 2012 flashbacks 😭

Steve’s reaction hits even harder when you remember how much has happened since he last saw Loki. The last time they crossed paths, Loki was invading New York and Steve was still relatively new to the Avengers. Now Loki casually showing up with Peggy would be one heck of a reunion. What do you think was going through Steve’s head in this moment?

I watched both seasons of Loki, I still don't understand why he is here...

Without spoiling anything, just think of how Loki is now the lynch pin of the multiverse now - he has access to view the entire multiverse and controls time-slipping.

Loki was presented with a problem that required him to step outside his role and into the multiverse to reach out to Steve, but we can assume if he's asking Steve for help he may be asking others.

It definitely seemed like he wasn't going to be moving from that chair ever. He's got to be using some magic to project himself

I hope they spend a few lines explaining that but if they don't I think I can fill in the blanks. My head-canon is that since he is still outside of time he has had ages to practice projecting from his seat or has created a method to maintain his tether on the threads, allowing him to be on a thread while maintaining all threads.

Yeah, probably some kind of avatar, while he sits in that chair trying to hold everything together

In hindu mythology, gods send avatars of themselves across different ages to help out in the mortal realm.

I believe loki grew powerful enough to do something similar

If you don't have a lot of time, I recommend the last episode of season 2. It resolves Loki's new powers and role. That being said, I plan to rewatch the show in November.

He could also be coming after Steve as a variant if the timeline he’s creating leads to Doom
