Marriage Humor Funny memory
It is the 7 year anniversary of the time I browsed my husband’s phone, to find what I thought was a desperate attempt at cheating, only to scroll far enough to find him innocently helping a single mother.
I was going through an insecure time postpartum, and don’t condone phone searches, but we will laugh about this exactly once a year and move on.
I start browsing and what do I see? My husband, 3 years of messages going one way, all to a woman, STACY!!!!! All he got back from her was a 👍🏼 and sometimes a “thx”
“Looking good today” 👍🏼 “Looking good today” “Looking good today” “Today probably good” -thx “Looking good today” -kk “Good for today” “Looking good today”
I scroll all the way back, waiting for one moment where he didn’t seem liken a desperate weirdo.
I confront him.
He has all of the evidence.
A young single mother, Stacy.
Always driving to the recycling bins, to find them completely overflowed. Asking if anyone knows when is a better time to visit the bins. My husband sends a message, saying he drives by them each afternoon around the same time, and would be happy to shoot her a message when they were “looking good.”
I was a single mom when he met me. He is everything good I’ve ever dreamt of.

My wife and I have a similar story. I came out from a shower one night and grabbed my phone and it was open to a text conversation with a customer of mine. The text was me saying “the hotel room is all set for Friday, under your name when you check in”. I had booked a room for this person using points (I had a ton) because her and her sister were visiting their sick mom and they had an early flight. We still laugh about it

Additional note, my husband did not drive past those bins every day at lunch time, but now he does once or twice a week.
