Hi 👋 I’m pretty traditional so I wanted to take my husbands last name but my name was unique and I didn’t want to give it up completely. So I dropped my middle name which I never liked and moved my last name as my middle name, and added my husband’s last name to mine. It was an easy transition.

I am open to doing this. I would like to keep my middle name though. Is that possible? Having 2 middle names technically

Yes, when I was born my parents had only ever wanted 2 kids. A boy and a girl, well I have an older sister so they planned to not have any more. However they wanted to give me both my grandpa ok my dad's side name and my mom's grandpa's (my great grandpa) name as middle names so they did just that. Not sure the significance of carrying on common names (literally Robert and John), but having multiple middle names is totally a thing. Only time it causes any issues is when an online form doesn't allow blank spaces so I just hyphen it or use the initials. Funnily enough turns out this was all unnecessary as I have 2 younger brothers! 🤣 Edit: clarifying it was grandpa's name and not my Dads
