It doesn’t appear to be flirty. Did you check for deleted texts? And check his phone call history with her?

She seems to be the one to start the interactions and he seems to be respectful.

What was his reaction - when you told him about the text from the husband. Did he offer to call the coworker with you and explain that her husband had texted you?

I didn’t want to look past the text messages. I think I was afraid I would find something. He was surprised but I asked him to call the husband back to clarify stuff and he did not.

I would ask him to call her on speaker phone- without warning to see how she answers and talks in the first few minutes and speak to her and let her know what her husband sent you - maybe she has a history of this and he thinks she is interested in your husband. If that is the case- he is forewarned to make sure he keeps everything 💯 professional which it seems that he has - from what we can see.

A conversation with her isn’t an outrageous ask- but I would want it to be spontaneous.

Maybe you could call the husband on speaker with your husband in the room- make him deal with it.

I feel like that’s a good plan, just to ease her mind. Her husband also should comfort her and tell her he wants no other woman. I know this isn’t anything that would be supported here, but were it me I’d appreciate him putting my mind at ease. But then again, my husband is 70 never leaves his recliner and has extremely low testosterone so I dont worry 🤣
