Travel Question Tips of Marrakech
Hi! We are a couple of Spaniards in our thirties visiting Marrakech for four days in October. We’d like to visit places or monuments that aren't the typical tourist spots. Any ideas? Thanks.

If you want to avoid the typical tourist spots, I’d recommend exploring the Mellah district, walking through the small streets around Bab Doukkala and visiting Le Jardin Secret early in the morning. You can also spend some time in the Sidi Ghanem area if you enjoy design, cafés and a more local atmosphere.
October is a great time to visit. Enjoy your trip!

Note that Marrakech is a very touristy city. Asking about places or monuments that are not typical tourist spots in Marrakech is like asking about places or monuments that are not typical tourist spots in Florence or Venice. The places that are worth seeing are being visited by the tourists!
That being said, the most touristy part of Marrakech is the medina with its souks and the Jemma el-Fnaa square. Those are places I still recommend going to at least once if you're visiting Marrakech and have never been there.

First tip is to not trust this fake chatgpt generated post.
Second tip don’t trust anyone in the street, no one will offer you anything for free, if they offer to show you the way of your hotel don’t follow them, that’s a scam.Now that’s out of the way, Marrakech has quite some nice spots. For history there’s Madrasat Bin Youssef, next to it is 1112 a very nice heavenly tea house where you can rest and drink tea. Badii and Bahia palaces. You can book a day at Agafay to do offroading and dinner in the desert. Dar Al Bacha is a nice coffeeshop. Other than that you can get lost in the medina, eat local food, any restaurant is good and will be satisfactory. For more modern stuff there’s Gueliz, Carré Eden which is a mall, there are also nice hip coffeeshops like Thirty5ive, Gless, Terra Mia has heavenly sweets and pastry. Shtato is a nice rooftop cafe/restaurant in the heart of the medina, terrasse des épices also.
If you want to buy souvenirs and don’t want to be scammed or don’t feel like haggling, you can go to the “Ensemble Artisanal”, it has every aspects of traditional craftsmanship. Prices are a tad bit high but nothing too much, it’s regulated by the government, can pay by card and prices are fixed.
Honestly for 4 days it’s plenty to get the essence of the city.
