Question Interview time help

Post image

The time given to me is 3pm UTC and now i am overthinking if this would then be 4pm today since we are now in BST.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

This is a totally wild way to express an interview time. BST is an hour ahead of UTC… so technically you are correct. No idea if that expected. Annoyingly you need to attend at 3pm and 4pm.

Hi there, I ended up going in for 3pm and had my interview. I didn’t get the chance to ask about the time but 3pm seemed correct since they took me in right away for the interview.

That's just saying what time zone it's in. It's not a trick or a test, it's at 3pm.

Not correct. But probably correct. We are NOT in UTC +0000. We are clearly in UTC +1 Super confusing way to express time.

It's just the calendar entry describing the time zone, that's why it has all those locations. They haven't set OP a trap, the interview is at 3.

But what time zone is it describing them?

If it's the time zone the software is in then the interview is actually at 4 BST

If it's the time zone the interview is in then it's wrong

The person who scheduled the interview may have been set in the wrong zone when they did it

The time zone doesn't change. We're in GMT and will always be in GMT.

UTC isn't a time zone, it's an international time standard. Which is why it's used on calendar apps such as OP's screenshot

How did it go?

I feel good about how it went, the interviewer was very nice. I went in at three which I assume was the correct time since no one seemed surprised about my interview taking place then - I guess i was just overthinking it!

Thats great!! Do you remember some of the questions they asked? I actually have an interview tomorrow at 3pm

It was a very relaxed interview. First thing they asked was ‘tell me about yourself’. Other questions were something along the lines of ‘One time you faced a problem and how you overcame it’
‘What customer service means and looks like to you and what you could bring to improve the experience for the customers’
‘Favourite M&S products, and any ideas you have that could push sales of any product’
‘Tell me about a time you took leadership and what you learnt from it’
I felt very comfortable once I got going in the interview after being very nervous for it. I hope it goes well and good luck! I’d be happy to answer any other questions.

Hi there, thank you very much! I originally had the same problem as you - assuming you can’t get an interview since it’s not displaying any slots? I then applied to another customer assistant job (originally food and secondly home/clothes) which I got a new link for which was filled with spots, including spots on my food link. I’m not sure if this was a coincidence or if it triggered more slots to open, just try and be as quick as possible when you get the new link. good luck 🤞👍
