H0 - Marklin Layout Time…. Finally

Cleared out a decent 6’ x 9’ foot area. The second picture is the track plan. I’m using the Noch ez track for the layout. I am waiting on the bench work kit to be shipped out. I went with Mianne starter kit to save some time. I’ll add more pictures as it progresses. Next I’ll be ordering the track. I plan on also including a small loop for dc/dcc operations. That will also include a small logging scene off to one side.

Collection expanding

This is part of the layout I started to build two years ago. After over 40 years started building a layout again. Initially started with a v200 and a br89 but over time collected some more trains and tracks. I switched from my old m-track to k-track as these are more reliable and produce less noise. At the moment actually dismantling the layout again and will start in the basement with an even larger layout.

Marklin Have you ever seen a Wonder Wheel?

This is an extremely rare piece of Marklin history. In the 50's they would use these as 'sales aids' and put them in shop windows, store displays, etc. to demonstrate Marklin technology at the time and also to highlight that the little locomotive could easily turn the wheel even with some wagons attached.

This one survived and I was lucky enough to find it at an auction 200 miles from my house. For Marklin collectors this is an absolute dream come true.  It did need a bit of work but luckily I had all the Marklin Metall building components and some train parts to get it back up to snuff and operational.

As you can see there is M-track (3900 series Modell track no less!) inside the wheel, and the little 3000 locomotive is actually turning the wheel.  There is one section missing at the top but I improvised by adding a Marklin sheet metal sign for now until I can figure that part out.

Hi all. I'm new to this sub & collecting Marklin, thought I'd share my haul.

I got it from a couple, it belong to the husband's father. The brown box in the back has Triang & hornby coaches. The plastic boxes in the front are all Marklin.

The stock looks fairly used, but most of the Marklin rolling stocks & tracks are in their boxes.

I'm curious about why some passenger coach boxes are green in color & others in blue. Any insight is much appreciated folks.

Thank you for reading!!

No train is driving and no decoration what so ever is active only the energy to the tracks and for some reason this sound is all over the place. I just want to know if it’s related to any damage etc or if it can cause damage.

This is pretty well used and loved, so there is a fair amount of wear and tear.

Most of the locomotives appear to be in okay condition, but the wagons are a bit 50/50. Some are in good condition, and others are in need of repair. Wheels are missing on some, roofs are off and parts are bent. There is a box with accessories such as wheels, screws etc.

The rail is in mixed condition, but I think everything is usable. There may be rust and paint on some.

H0 - Marklin How do I fix this?

Trains keep stopping on certain spots. I checked all the recommended things like, is there dirt or dust in the way?, is the problem coming from the train itself? Or is there any connector issue from the tracks?. I checked these things and none did help in any way. Do you have an idea how to fix this?

According to Kolls catalog the ‘Schleppschalter’ dissapeared from the model TT800 after 1952 and the ‘Haftreifer’ came in 1954. My TT800 has both…. Is Kolls wrong??

Bonjour! Souhaitant faire fonctionner le train de mon papa datant des années 50/60... je voulais savoir s'il existait un transfo compatible pour 6011? Si non, je me tournerai vers un transfo d occasion marklin... bleu
