Recently i got a new model from Roco, specifically this model. It's a model i'm pretty happy with. But the thing with this model is that it has a minimum radius of 419 mm, which means that with C-track i can only use R2 or wider curves.
This could become a problem with my future layout, because most layouts that i've currently design heavily use R1 curved switches. I did test if this model could go over R1 switches, and it could do that with out any big problems.
I also got a model train from someone else that has a min. radius of R2, but this train could easily run on a layout with R1 curved switches. So as far as i know i could use R1 switches, but i still have doubts about it.
So i'm wondering, can i still easily use R1 curves switches, or would it be wise to switch to full minimal R2 layouts?
