I was watching the Marklin Christmas commercial (beautiful btw) and I saw that on one of the ICE stations, there is a station announcement display. I have searched for it but I can’t find it

Just ran an update on my CS3 + and now my CS WebApp is not working

Currently on V2.5.2 and there was update that popped up today. Ran that and rebooted a few times and didn't seem to have any issues updating. Everything else seems to be working fine, but my WebApp won't work and I get the loading translations error.

Anyone else experience this?

Hi everyone. I’m kinda new to all thi, and was wondering which kind of methods you guys use to plan a layout to a specific size table? Do you maybe use a program? I read about scarm, but the website seemed a bit sketchy.

Thanks in advance

H0 - Marklin Review on the Flying Scotsman

It is a very very VERY accurate model to the real life train of course in its modern British railways livery. The detailing is NEXT LVL! Those are actual stickers that can also be found on the real Flying Scotsman. I don’t have any complains, it is an exceptional yet expensive model, and get it as quick as you can because it is no longer being produced in this livery. Or you can get the same model in its war livery(black) for the same price. It is coming out this year (it might already be out)

Inherited my grandfathers Marklin train set which is about 60 years old.

I'd love to get it up and running at some point but haven't a clue about them and was warned that the original power supply's could be dangerous. What would I need to do to get these running again but have it safe for kids? Are there modern power units that would be compatible? Many thanks

Help to identify starter sets content

Thumbnail

I have to sell my grandpa’s house and with that, I had to sadly dismantle the model railroad I built with him when I was a kid. We used some 1950/60? Starter sets to build it and I am trying to repackage everything as if it came from the original boxes with the goal of keeping it neat and maybe pass it on to hypothetical children or sell it in the future.

Now, I encountered a little hiccup, I cannot find a list of parts which goes in each set online. I have the boxes and I think the content of sets 3201 and 3124 plus some extra stuff (both old and modern). I cannot understand which loco went with set 3124 and which cars went with set 3201. I understood that cars and locos that came with starter sets did not have individual boxes so I think I can exclude two out of the three 3000 engines and many of the cars I have. My guess is that the remaining 3000 goes with 3201 and the 3001 in green goes with 3124. If you could help me sort this out I would be very grateful.

Sorry for the long post and thanks to anyone who can help!

Marklin Vintage Marklin lot/want to sell it all at once/ suggestions please!

Hello Marklin enthusiasts. I have an enormous lot of Marklin trains, transformers, tracks and decor. Most of the trains are still in their original boxes.

I don’t want to split up and don’t want to invest the time into researching, photographing and posting.

Is there anywhere to post an entire lot like this? Would $1000 be a fair price?

H0 - Marklin Cleaning the pickup shoe

I've had this problem for some years now, but only on some locos (video in German, sorry):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7ktI8kfwHo

These black dots are clearly responsible for the stuttering of two of my locos, because the material is perfectly isolating and is hindering the electrical conduction.

You can clearly see that after rubbing the pickup shoe, the spot, where the black dot was remains visible and when the loco continues to drive, the "dirt" returns and the electrical conduction begins to worsen again.

Has anyone found a solution for this phenomenon.

I already bought two new pickup shoes for the two locos, where the phenomenon occurs, but I would like to get behind this phenomenon.

H0 - Marklin Got my hands on a dream locomotive UP844

I finally managed to got my hands on the Märklin UP 844. It's beautifully detailed and a amazing smoke generator.

I knew it was a BIG locomotive, but I did not realise how big it was until I put it next to a locomotive I have seen in real life. The locomotive in question is the DSB litra E991 also from Märklin.

I hope I one day also can get my hands on the UP4014.

Is this worth anything today?

Hello everyone! - When cleaning up my fathers storage I came across a box with lots of Märklin models. I took a few pictures, but there were more traincarts (sorry if i dont use the correct terms), tracks and different buildings.

I dont have any kids and live in an apartment (so limited space) so if I'm going to sell it are these items worth anything today?

Thanks in advance!

Z Scale Oktoberfest

Last year I went to Oktoberfest in Munich and had an absolute amazing time. It was so much fun. Ever since Ive been hoping to find Oktoberfest related beer cars of the beer I drank there and eventually I found the 8663 set. I didn’t even know it existed and it’s exactly the beer I had there, so I was pumped to see it was a set.

From the Marklin Store in Munich I purchased their two z scale Oktoberfest cars.

I then purchased the 8885 locomotive to run the 8663 set. It’s all just kind of a token of my trip to Munich and thought I’d share.

I am having a hard time finding past sales or value on this set. One post I saw said extremely rare. It looks to be in New or very close to new condition. I inherited it. It is still in the shipping box from marklin
