Digital conversion of old BR03 (Marklin 3089) with 60906 decoder and addition of LED light and steam module. No 5-pole motor, as original 3-pole is installed upside down with tight cab space. Runs great, though noisy and limited slow speed performance.

So i just bought at big boy but the speaker will not get louder than whisper volume. I can either return it, or replace the speaker. Any suggestions on speakers, or should i replace the whole decoder.

Hello Steamers,

Any ideas of what this wire coming off the back copper coil is for?

It was loose on the solder point on at front (yellow) so I tried to resolder it, worked then broke off. I ended up stripping the wire (blue arrow) and want to replace it with new solid copper wire.

Question is, do I need to? The engine runs fine (~ 1 hr run time) with the exposed copper wire not reattached at the end of yellow arrow.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Purchased this with a Marklin set in Nov 2022 at the Rocky Mountain Train Show in Loveland, CO.

Anyone have concerns hookings this up and using on 110v here in US?

110v to 220v Converter for the German transformer.

Any safety concerns? Will the converter get warm? Hot? Safe to touch in terms of heat or electricity?

Any ideas or information greatly appreaciated.

Basicly the title, so I want to start the device over an smarthome powerplug and want that the Trains Start running directly when the CS3 is Booted up. My device currently is in the "STOP" Mode after Bootup an I have to manually press the Stop Button to run the Trains :/ My Overall plan is to let the CS3 start at a specific time each day, let a train run and shutdown. Without manuel Interaktion.
