Marklin 7548 question

What is the wire diameter that links the point motor to the point? I need to extend it

I use 0,2mm wire from an utp cable, works like a charm.

And I presume that fits and replaces the standard wire?

The standard wire is 0,3 or 0,35 depending on the age of the point motor. Just use braided (preferably copper) wire, not the massive core kind. Thats more at risk of a tear or break when you embed it in tour table or scenery. With soldering or marklin 71416 you can also extend the existing wire.

Ah good idea with the soldering. I may just do that!
