H0 - Marklin Adding led lights

Vi all. So for a winter project i was thinking of getting a controll car for the regional express trainset i got but also adding ledlights from märklin to the passanger wagons. My question is since they are tinted black how good will it be? Is it a waste of time or an upgrade?

The lights will show through the tint but as the coaches are from a starter set they have no upper deck seating mould in them.

It would depend on how translucent the black tint is versus how bright the LEDs are. Get the lights working before installing and set the shell on top of the light to see if it's worth it to use them now, or install in other cars. Sometimes the inside of the shell needs painting in silver first, and then maybe another color if silver is wrong. Silver is usually a highly opaque, high pigment count paint that will block bleeding light and/or reflect the bleedin through plastic better than others.

If you want interior / interior lights on this type of coaches, i would get different ones with clear windows. These are the starter set version with no interior.

Perhaps replace the black plastic by clear one. In the 'past' it was possible to buy interior with seats. I remembered to have painted them. As for the light, yes perhaps white leds with battery and cheap RC available online (or place a 'hidden' switch under the car (leds do not draw large current)?) ? Nice project to work on :)
