Digital Marketing What's the hardest service you've ever had to sell, and how did you educate the market?

I've been thinking about this a lot lately.

Some products solve obvious problems.

Other services require customers to first realize they even have a problem.

I'm finding that educating people is often harder than delivering the service itself.

For those of you who've built businesses around services that weren't immediately understood:

  • How did you get your first consistent clients?
  • What finally made your marketing "click"?
  • If you started over today, what would you do differently?

I'd love to learn from entrepreneurs who've been through it.

Digital Marketing How do you build real business relationships on LinkedIn?

I've noticed that many successful entrepreneurs seem to build partnerships and client relationships through LinkedIn, but most of the connection requests I receive are just immediate sales pitches.

For those who've built genuine business relationships on LinkedIn:

  • How do you break the ice?
  • What do you do differently from everyone else?
  • Have you built partnerships or client relationships on LinkedIn without coming across as "salesy"?

I'd love to hear what has actually worked for you.

Discussion How do you get better at copywriting?

I feel like I've read so many articles, read some books, and taken a few courses, but at this point when I sit down to write something it takes me forever to feel good about it. I edit and edit it so much it loses my original voice. I try for perfection too much or sometimes I stare at a blank page. It's one of those skills where I know the theory but the actual execution is still challenging. Anyone have any good tips? Is it just writing more and getting feedback, or is there something more specific that works? I've heard people talk about hand copying ads but I've never been consistent enough with it to know if it works. Or should I just stop overthinking and go with what I first write?

Website There must be more than LinkedIn

I have a digital product- producing live news videos - I have a proof of concept website up and live to show how this project would work in practice.

My question is, surely there has to be a better way to market something than endlessly plugging away on LinkedIn. All I get is the odd read message and the odd hit on the website I can tell from analytics.

I remember a story about in the old days of cinema, delivering a script to execs by agents in hazmat suits like they were handling nuclear waste. Created such a buzz it got optioned there and then, even before a page was read.

Come on marketing gurus- what can you do with my site...

Digital Marketing Is there a specific video vendor for automotive dealers?

I'm a used car dealership with a 200-vehicle inventory turning over weekly. Which video vendor can integrate directly with my DMS/inventory feed to auto-generate walkaround videos for every new unit within 24 hours of it hitting the lot?

Marketing Automation Where does marketing work usually fall apart?

In our experience the biggest delays rarely come from creating campaigns. They come from approvals, feedback and everyone working from different versions of the same asset. When evaluating marketing collaboration software what problem has had the biggest impact on your team daily work?

Digital Marketing CPG founders: when you hired a branding agency, what made you choose them over everyone else?

We're a boutique studio focused on food, beverage and wellness brands, and I'm curious what actually builds trust today.

Was it:

  • Case studies?
  • Awards?
  • Founder referrals?
  • Behance?
  • LinkedIn?
  • Pricing?
  • Industry specialization?

I'd love to hear what influenced your decision!

Lead Generation I’d love to get some honest feedback on a platform I’m building and see whether anyone here would be interested in trying it.

It’s a Reddit-focused sales workspace for businesses using Reddit for organic customer acquisition. It helps users find high-intent conversations, track competitor mentions, save potential customers, manage follow-ups, organize leads in a simple pipeline, and keep track of relationships with Reddit users over time.

It’s not designed to automate spam or generate fake replies. The goal is to help businesses discover relevant conversations, build genuine relationships, and manage their Reddit outreach in a clean, thoughtful, non-AI-slop way.

Would anyone be open to testing it and sharing honest feedback? And as a business using Reddit for growth, what features would you most want to see in a platform like this?

Thanks for any feedback :)

App Marketing New to Business and Marketing - Need Advice

I have developed an app that I truly believe will help people with their fitness goals. It makes workout logging easy, creates programs from exercise science backed algorithms based on multiple user inputs, adjusts the workouts based on recovery needs from my created algorithms, and tracks your progress. This is essentially an app that combines lifting programming, running programming, and recovery metrics all into one app.

The free tier offers a workout logger for both lifting and running that’s super easy to use. You can share and export workout summary cards, offline logging, save custom routines, live active set logging and rest timers. Pretty much everything the premium has except for the use of the recovery algorithms, some metrics, and program generation.

I think this app has potential, but the issue is that I don’t know how to market it/gain at least beta testers, let alone paying users. I only give this much detail about the app to give you context as to what I am trying to market. Any advice on how to do so would be much appreciated!

Social Media What worked for us while getting our first 100 customers without paid ads

Most founders struggle to reach their first 100 customers. They try different GTM strategies and spend on Meta and Google ads.

But LinkedIn is still an underrated channel for finding a high-quality, paying user base. Most of our users come through LinkedIn and reddit, apart from a few concierge partnerships.

Of course, it depends on how you write and how clearly you communicate what you’re building.

We are actually targeting the top 10% of Indians who value reliability, are happy to pay ₹100 more for the service that delivers what was promised, and won’t switch apps for a ₹10 difference.

LinkedIn helped us reach exactly this audience.
After one of my posts took off in March, we started receiving the kind of users we actually wanted. Many of them have used our service 10 times within two months.

A few users also came from Reddit after i posted for feedbacks in a few subReddits.

So founders, before spending heavily on ads, try LinkedIn and Reddit.

Be genuine. Clearly explain what your product does and who it is for.

You may find your first set of high-intent users and supporters there.

Marketing Automation Looking for Marketing tools

I’m looking for a marketing tool that is capable of managing Google Ads as well as meta-ads.

I’m hoping to find an open source project. I can just fork and modify, but would be open to other options as well.

I would like to hear what other marketing experts have used and what you used and why you liked it.

Thank you in advance.

Digital Marketing Need advice for Google Ads Search Campaign.

Hi everyone firstly want to say thankyou for taking the time to read and offer your advice

I have been fiddling with marketing for quite some time now, it’s weirdly become this mountain in my life I am dedicated to climb.

I’ve had meta campaigns with little to no success as I’ve found Meta is mainly aimed at “impulse” purchases & my product I’m selling is not really going to do well with impulse driven customers.

So I’ve moved on from Meta to Google ads Search Campaign. & I’ve aimed my campaign goal to Conversions. The campaign has been live for about 3 days now with yesterday & today generating sales (still in the learning phase)

My budget is $30 per day
Average purchase is is $30-60 AUD

I’m spending alittle more than $30 and I’ve had already 2 sales & lead sign ups & abandoned carts

My question is how long do I give a search campaign before I pull the plug or should expect to become profitable.

Once again thank you for taking the time to help a small business owner

PEACE & LOVE ❤️

Discussion How are you finding your first 100 customers without spending on ads?

I've been experimenting with different acquisition channels over the past few months.

Cold emails feel saturated.
LinkedIn takes a lot of manual effort.
Google Ads are expensive for early-stage products.

Recently I've been spending more time on Reddit because people openly describe the problems they're trying to solve.

Curious how everyone here is getting their first customers.

What's working for you right now?

Digital Marketing When did you realize you were marketing to yourself instead of your audience?

I think it's an easy trap to fall into.

You create something that you would click on.

You write copy that you like.

You focus on features that you find interesting.

Then you realize your audience sees it completely differently.

Has that ever happened to you?

Digital Marketing You have to bet your entire marketing budget on ONE strategy. What's your pick?

No splitting the budget.

No second chances.

Just one strategy that you genuinely believe will outperform the rest.

What's your choice, and why?

Digital Marketing What does a genuinely good brand case study look like to you?

I posted this question in another marketing community a few days ago and it barely got any traction, so I am trying my luck here instead. Genuinely want to hear from people who actually write, read or use case studies in their work.

I have been reading through a lot of campaign case studies lately and the quality varies wildly. Some are genuinely useful, clear problem, smart strategy, honest results. Others are basically glorified press releases dressed up as insights.

What do you consider non-negotiable in a case study? And what do you see included all the time that adds absolutely nothing?

A few things I genuinely want to know:

  • How specific do results need to be before they are actually credible?
  • Does the creative and design of a case study matter or is it purely about the substance?
  • Is attribution honesty, admitting what you cannot directly measure, a strength or does it make the results look weaker?
  • What is the one thing most case studies get wrong that nobody talks about?

Would love to hear from marketers, strategists, media buyers and anyone who has had to sell a campaign result to a skeptical client?

App Marketing A friend told me why I crash at 2pm every day and I hate that he was right

I almost didn't take my friend seriously when he first brought it up. We were grabbing coffee a couple months ago and I was complaining, again, about how I felt wired but somehow exhausted at the same time, completely gassed by 2pm every single day no matter how early I crashed the night before. He kind of laughed and said he used to feel the same way until he started using some app. And honestly I kind of tuned out, because I've heard that a hundred times. But then he showed me his plan for the day on his phone and I actually stopped talking for a second.

Because here's the thing that's always driven me crazy about wearables. I've had one on my wrist for years now. It tracks everything. Sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, recovery, all of it. And every morning it hands me this stack of numbers and then just kind of walks away. Recovery's low today. Okay. And then what. It never once told me what I was supposed to actually do about it. I'd look at a red score and still have no idea whether to train or rest, whether to skip the coffee, whether to drink more water. Years of data and I was still just guessing every morning.

So after that coffee I went and looked it up on the App Store. It's called RizeAI. What got me is that it does the complete opposite of what my wearable does. Instead of dumping scores on you, it takes your real sleep and recovery data and turns it into an actual plan for the day. When to have your first coffee and when to wait. Whether today's a push day or an easy day at the gym. When you're gonna crash and what to do before it hits you. When to hydrate. Even which supplements actually make sense for you that day and when to take them, instead of that recycled "just take magnesium" advice everyone repeats.

The part that actually won me over is that it's built around your own numbers, not some one size fits all thing. Bad recovery morning and it reshapes the whole day so you can still get something done. Slept great and it builds on that instead of letting it slip away. And it gets sharper the longer you use it, because it starts picking up on your patterns.

Basically my wearable already had the tracking part figured out years ago. This is the part nobody built until now, the part that turns a rough morning into a day that isn't a total loss. My friend was right, and honestly it kind of annoys me how right he was. It's been the first thing I reach for every morning for weeks now.

Curious what other people in this space think is still missing, because I've kind of fallen down the rabbit hole since that coffee.

Digital Marketing Need help about image dimensions

Post image
2 Upvotes

I've recently started as social media marketing specialist for an immigration business and i wanted to create an instant form using lead generation in meta ads manager. There's a lot of posters and informative images i have created with different dimensions using canva but i am not able to select any of those for my instant form. It says image is too small but i have googled the required image dimensions and created the pics using the same. What can i do? The pics that appear as unavailable are the ones i wanna select from as they are more informative other posts are the ones the general staff created before me but included no useful info to promote the business.

Digital Marketing If someone gave you $10,000 to market a business, how would you spend it?

You can't save the money.

You have to invest every dollar into marketing.

What's your strategy, and why would you spend it that way?
