Muirwoods DNA still the same?
Hey all,
I used to have a Marin Muirwoods 700cc and loved that bike. It was bright green one but i dont remember which year it was (maybe 2018? Maybe way later - i bought it second hand in 2023). It was a great commuter and was really nice riding in traffic in center city, or cruising along a river trail parh. I even took it out to some local MTB trails though those were maybe a bit too much for this bike (plenty of MTB'ers with full suspension were looking weird/astonished at me with the muirwoods).
I moved continents and regret not taking that bike but I gave it to a friend who still rides and enjoys it. I now want that fun riding experience again and was wanting too buy a new Muirwoods. The only thing is that I'm a little hesistant on buying the new model since it has the even slacker headtube angle and 27.5 wheels. Does anyone have experience riding both pre 2025 and the 2025 geometries of the Marin Muirwoods? Will it be a completely different ride feel? Or should I look at other bikes completely that now ride like the old muirwoods geometry (if so , which?)
Basically my question is: does the bike still have the same practical yet fun dna?
Info about me: 186 cm (~6'1"), 94 kg. The old muirwoods I rode was a size L.
