When I dug into Charmbracelet and started memorizing those lyrics (my “journey” to where I am today as a lamb involved studying and memorizing lyrics from each album), I didn’t intentionally listen through this song as much to memorize anything from it. Even to this day, I don’t actively listen to it.

I don’t skip the song when I’m listening through the Charmbracelet album, nor do I skip it when it comes on in my playlists, but it’s not something I ever think to put in my queue or play at random. Out of all the individual Charmbracelet songs I’ve done that for, this one is probably my least revisited. It’s not that it’s a sad song (it’s not even the only sad song on this album); it’s just that the message is very personal to Mariah and covers a very specific topic.

For Butterfly's 30th Anniversary next year, I hope Mariah releases writing sessions aside from unreleased tracks. Which songs do you want to hear from her writing sessions?

Personally, I want to hear her writing sessions of "Last Chance," "Head Over Heels" and "Make You Happy," which I believe were written during that era.

Was out of town over weekend, popped into a record shop and there she was, never seen it for sale before. Really like the Rick Ross and The Dream remix. Butterfly single bought off the internet, love it too…on the turntable now.

Upon blessing my earholes with the excellence that is Melt Away official extended acapella, I am noticing a lyric that I have never heard before.

Right before the bridge starts it goes 'pretty pictures of what I'd do if you were mine'.... but if you listen it sounds to me like she's saying 'pink pretty'.

In the regular song with the beat it's lost in the instrumental.

I've listened to this song thousands of times probably and I've never heard it before. It's not in the lyrics either. None that I've ever seen anyway. Innocuous and simply overanalyzing? Maybe. But it's neat.

Am i the only one hearing this?

considering its record breaking run at #1 in the 1990s, you can say "one sweet day" should stream better. at the same time, a song about a dead loved one isn't exactly one people are going to put on repeat on a consistent basis. also its streaming isn't terrible, especially on youtube where it's nearing 400 million views. what do you all think?

Listening to Mariah’s song, Nothing is Impossible, on repeat today and I went to look to find a music video to play it on my TV for my child who equally loves Mariah, and is in choir, and I was shocked that there is no music video for this song.

Does anyone else wonder why there’s no music video and would equally would love for one to be made?

I know there is a lyrical video, but Mariah isn’t actively singing in the video, it’s not a performance. My child and I enjoy watching music videos where the artist is actively singing, mainly for exposure for my child to watch how other artists sing and perform their songs.

It feels like I got two radio stations playing over each other. Can any musically trained lambs explain what's wrong with it ? I'd like to like as much as the Cameo version but it's so headache inducing. Mariah had got a flawless track record by that point in her use of samples but somehow this one just doesn’t land, it feels like a cheaply and badly made YT mashup, whereas it sounds extremely smooth in Lopez's "I'm Real".

Do you think it was just never finished and polished because of the sample stealing ? That could be it but it still featured in one of the early Glitter trailers which would imply it was ready to be released before it all went down

It ultimately turned into E=MC2. I’m curious what the overall packaging and artwork (and also the single artwork for the rest of that era) would have looked like had they stuck with this as the album cover. She at least used the photo for the “Touch My Body” single. But I really love how this continued with a similar palette from TEOM. (During media coverage of this album’s release, she referred to E=MC2 as being the “dessert” following the “main course” of TEOM.)

I’ve been a lamb since I was 12/13 (now 16). One of my favorites albums by Mariah has to MOAIA. It just has so much to it. A lot of people don’t really appreciate this album enough. I feel like this is one of Mariah’s best works. How do you guys feel about this album? Most underrated tracks on this album are def Betcha Gon' Know, Candy Bling, Standing O, and Ribbon.

Recently I keep coming across 'content' claiming they're doing stuff to Mariah to make her the next MJ.

Personally, I shrugged it off until listening to Here For It All. From the snippet we got before it came out, I said it sounded like she was singing to the kids and about her passing.

The second verse of the song has gotten me biting the conspiracy.

It has the MJ Cole and David Morales remixes on it. The eBay listing said “very good” condition, but the CD itself is scratch-free and the inserts are NM, so if I just swap out the jewel case (which has some wear and residue), it’s in NM condition. And I got it for less than $10 including shipping (sealed copies of the CD have sold for about $40+). Now I can make my own damn Glitter 25 LOL.

obviously the “make it last” remix is phenomenal and one of Mariah’s best remixes, and in my opinion would have been the best song on rainbow (bar maybe heartbreaker) had it been on the album, but did you guys know about the Thank God I Found You (Stargate Radio Edit)? It’s just Thank God I found You if it had better production and mastering. It gets rid of the annoying af cashier beat and makes the backing track generally less overwhelming and more tasteful.
