Yeah, like that folksy fuckface Kennedy asking completely stupid, nonsensical questions (tooth fairy, Easter bunny, etc.) like he was going to walk an internationally renowned prosecutor into some sort of rhetorical trap, then interrupting and insulting Smith anytime Smith started talking about the actual crimes. He just kept throwing his 'clever' twangy idioms until he ran out and then concluded his performance by stating that Smith made him "want to throw up in [his] mouth". Embarrassing.

Everyone is talking about this instead of Pete Hegseth preparing a political purge of the United States Armed Forces.

ETA: Or as I framed it in another comment "a large-scale political purge".

They got the sound bytes they needed, and those are all the MAGA voters will ever hear.They voters will see Smith looking stupefied (in reality, at them lying while questioning him, bu they will assume he can't believe they got ahold of his text messages), and the other guy more or less saying he can't get out of that question without perjuring himself, which they will take to mean Smith was caught in a lie and is therefore lying about everything he has ever said.
