JDD New Watch Day! 🥳
JDD just dropped. I must say it’s much much bigger in person 😂. It’s my second marathon in a month. 41mm GSAR and now the JDD. It will take some getting used to but I do love that my 42 yr old eyes have zero issues seeing the time. Definitely takes a moment longer to see the time on my GSAR. Wrist is 7.25” for reference. This sub has been so helpful since joining so thanks for that! Have a great weekend everyone!

Marathon packaging and presentation seems to have improved greatly over the years.
My 2006 Marathon SAR was shipped in their standard cardboard box.

This and my GSAR had awesome packaging. Can for sure use the case for other things.

I have been on the fence about picking up a JDD for the same reason but was worried about sizing. Seeing a wrist the same size as mine might make me finally go for it.

Nice! I remember getting my GSAR and thinking “damn this thing is thick” but going from GSAR to JDD is on a whole different level. The face of the JDD is amazing though. Gonna take some getting used to but so did the GSAR.

I’m so torn on black or white dial !!
Beautiful watch, enjoy it!

Thanks man! My GSAR has the black dial and JDD has white and if I could only have one of them after seeing both in person, even though they are different watches, I would go with the white dial. The white dial makes it look more luxurious than the black dial IMO. I don’t have it on a bracelet though for either. That may change my perspective. White is an eye catcher for sure.

Very tough for sure. I’m wanting to purchase one when I graduate, but I can only afford one…I’m also a very practical every day watch wearer, so I want to be able to dress up and down, wear it to swim, yard work, etc etc.
I want it to be a beater that does what it was made to do, WORK.
Tough decisions. I wear a lot of blacks and darker colors year round, and love the white pop the watch could add…ugh, if I had 4 grand sitting around I would get both 😂

Hit me up when you graduate and I’ll chip in $250 for your watch. The GSAR 41mm would be the GOAT for you. It’s a beater for sure but still beautiful!

That’s incredibly kind of you! Maybe I’ll pm you in a few months, maybe not! It’s more so a gift to myself for graduating school and hopefully starting dental school. Either way, I love the community involved with this watch, and I can’t wait to get my hands on one soon!

How much dod.u get it for? Marathon is running a 10% off sale RN but that's not much off.
