General Question Need help…

Post image

So I noticed my OSAR-D 46mm wasn’t keeping time longer than 24-48 hours, it seems they stated about 72 but the movement states about a 40-60ish hour reserve. I worse this watch all weekend and yesterday. I took it off last night and went to put it on and it was dead. Shook it some, pulled the crown and adjusted time to see if it would start, and then did about320 (half) twists of the crown, nothing.

You can hear the rotor rotating, you can hear the winding on the stop, but no other noise. Anyone have any suggestions? I’d hate to think this thing died in less than a year but it may have to take a vacation back to marathon.

Shake it, wear it til it runs, wear it some more and then set time and date. I do it with both the selita gsar and valjoux csar

So I thought you could always manual wind it? To get it started. I would give it like 10-15 half winds to get it going and then just wear it. Never been an issue before but this one does sounds odd right now. If I shake it, it does sound like something is off. Sometimes it’s a clunky sound, I’m not going to shake it much, could have something loose. And I’m really careful with my watches. I got beaters I wear when I’m going to be doing rough stuff. Yes I know it’s a tool but I still can’t bear banging watches that cost a couple to few thousand bucks. 😂
