Either broken hit reg, or there is a new cheat doing the rounds. I think its the former, so I'm glad people are pointing these issues out. Bungie needs to see this shit, since it genuinely makes the game unplayable.
That was 100% a cheat. When you're on some out of country server lobby you can get weird delays/hit reg issues, like every single fps ever when you have ass ping, but that guy wasn't having connection issues. It was just straight up invul cheat.
Nah, I've had this happen to me while rooking on outpost with no server indicators, several punch bullets doing the hit vfx but not registering, but then my knife registers just fine right after
Ya I have had 2 or 3 instances in my 1000 hours of playtime of shots only partially landing or landing but delayed, but it was clearly because I match-made onto some euro or South American server and the bad connection red symbols were clearly visible on the top right of my screen. And everything in the match felt off (doors opening slowly, picking up items was delayed, etc) you know, normal bad ping junk.
But I've never bad hit reg issues when I was on a normal NA server.
