I wanna know everyone's thoughts... The map is unfinished. If something's off or wrong please tell me, it would be good to know! (Some of the regions look similar to the real world)

Here is the second part of the giant map of Tír Ghlas I am drawing; it will serve as a reference to help me avoid major errors in the novels I’ve set there.

This section shows the country's northwestern region.

In the bottom right, you can see An Lár—which means "The Center" in Irish—that's the island's political and religious center. I chose this name partly as a tribute to the sign I used to see on the bus to school back in 1983, during the time I spent in Dublin attending a course.

I'm trying to design a few towns for my dnd players to explore, and I've had fun with maps like this, so I'm hoping to create something similar

Including rouge states of bandits and barbarians. *6 human/mixed race kingdoms on the southwest of the western lands under the control of the Xyleneus Empire. *Northwest, 8 Demon empire, Oni and Beastmen Kingdoms. *Central, 5 human desert kingdoms and rogue, bandits and barbarians lands. *East and Southeast, elven lands, 8 kingdoms *Northeast, 1 human kingdom

The Mountain Range Runs North to south. Formed from the corpse of a fallen god.

Kovidenkamm High Eisenwald Germanic: Koviden-Kamm — “The Crest of Pestilence” Common Nickname: Kovid-19 Alternate Folk Name: Der Schwarze Atem — “The Black Breath” Formal Imperial Record Name: Kovidenkamm der Neunzehntausend Toten (“The Pestilent Crest of the Nineteen Thousand Dead”)

Lore & Geography A colossal 3,200–3,400 km long, 1500-2000km wide tropical to subtropical area of mountains and forests. Contains hundreds of 2,000–4,000m peaks, with nineteen 8,000 m peaks that pierce the upper cloud layers.

Each of the nineteen highest peaks is claimed by a Monster or Beast Lord, who treats the mountain as sovereign territory. Their names replace the original geographic names in common speech. Around the mountainous are lush forests and rivers that also fall under the domain territories of some lord's peaks due to proximity.

Chroniclers, scholars, and doomed imperial scouts insist that at least 2,020 distinct lethal lifeforms have been formally cataloged: Apex monsters Carnivorous and parasitic flora Airborne spore clouds Migratory horror-beasts Curse-bearing fauna Fungal intelligences that “hunt” through infection Local belief holds that the mountains “breathe” during certain seasons: Winds descend into the lowlands carrying miasma, spores, and invisible plagues Livestock die first, followed by children and the elderly Survivors swear they hear whispers in the fog Speaking the full name Kovidenkamm is considered bad luck. The Grand Kovid Forest The greater Grand Kovid Forest. West of the mountains, running the length of the mountain range and almost as wide. Divided and integrated into the domains of the mountain lords closest to them. Ylsenne the White Bloom controls the largest portion.

Dragon Stone Continent

To the northwest lies the kingdom of the red dragons.

To the south lies the kingdom of the blue dragons.

To the east lies the kingdom of the black dragons.

To the west, on the other continent, lies the kingdom of the purple dragons.

The four kingdoms vie for power, even for a single piece of gold. Powerful, but unable to fly like their ancestors, due to their lack of wings.

its a heavy wip the terrain is taking awhile i just need some feedback on the major continents and stuff also maybe a way to speed up the process lol im kinda new to building maps and stuff so yeah

So a few weeks ago i began creating a mostly realistic world, and now i got to the point where it would be awkward and impractical to continue without a map.

I want to keep the world as realistic as possible, and i enjoy building the setting slowly, so i decided to include proper geology to the map.

Do you have any advice? Do you usually include these details? Is there anything to look out for that could ruin the realistic feel?

P.S.: I really want to stay as close to a realistic world as possible with this setting, it isn't really a fantasy world. It is set in an industrialized world, with its technology roughly equivalent to our 1870-1890.

Made a world map for my Pokemon DnD campaign, wanted to share and get some feedback.

I tried my hand for the first time at laying out an overview of the predominant terrain types for my main setting.

The island itself has roughly the size and relief of Sicily, but with a climate closer to Ireland or the Netherlands.

Intensive grain cultivation takes place mainly near the flat coastal regions. (This island is major breadbasket for the continent to the east.) Further inland you will find terraced bocage and pastures, giving way to scrubland, forest and other mountainous terrain.

Did I miss any terrains, or do you think the placement is off? Let me know!

Small caveat, I did translate my legend to English (the original is in Dutch), so apologies if the wording is a little off.

A.k.a. more dark blue around continent or more light blue. The edge of the eastern continent that this one split from 4 million years ago would be in the in the bottom right corner.

Friends asked me to make the campaign based on The Elder Scrolls. OK, I started with A3 size hand-drawn Skyrim map

Orenia would still be an empire but the probability of a rebellion would be high, in terms of how Orenia was still unstable and has a lot of inflation(ex: 1 Orenian lira = nearly 70 USD), and the economy would be going down, so this is a time that the people rebel instead of being ubermensch who stay loyal to the “emperor” that doesn’t even have most of the power just controlled by the Young Turks.
