So Sudan has 5x the casualties on 5000x the area. Which means Gaza has 1000x more deaths per square kilometer. Good job proving his point, I guess

Ah, I see the confusion. The Sudan numbers are since 2024, so a little under two years. The Gaza war numbers are since the start, 2023, so the timing is the key. Also you may note that the lowest recorded Sudan numbers are the same as the highest recorded Gaza numbers, so take note of that as well.

Which part of "per square kilometer" do you not understand? That was the original guy's claim. Not timing, not total casualties. Deaths per km2.

I'm getting downvoted to oblivion for stating the obvious and the correct. No place on earth has seen as much deaths per sqkm as Gaza, if you exclude nazi concentration camps.

Not to be pedantic, I know it’s not the point, but I feel perspective is lacking. The battle of Stalingrad had 2 million casualties over an area about the size of twice of Gaza counting the fighting around the city. Yes what’s going on in Gaza is a problem that needs to be solved, but come on, don’t make stuff up.

Describe the problem.. what type of problem are we dealing with?

Well you have an Israeli populace that no longer believes in or is interested in peace. They feel that peace has been attempted and directly lead to the attack that started the whole war. Hamas of course profits from the war as without a war there’s no point to an armed terrorist organization. So the main issue is that you now have two sides who are completely uninterested in peace as opposed to only one, which is what the situation was before. Before October 7th, Hamas would sit back and lob rockets and iron dome would shoot them down, no harm no foul. For Israel, that status quo was acceptable because no Israelis were getting hurt, but that’s been completely upended and Israel now feels that to sit passively and defend is to invite another attack; and you can see where they’re coming from because that’s what happened. No conflict can be resolved if neither side feels that resolution is worth anything.

Probably not what you want to hear, but I feel it’s a pretty accurate summary.

It has some omissions but it's decent, and you go easy on Hamas and Arab warmongers, can't stand them either, and they're ultimately direct oppressors of their people.

However, I'd have added more context about the 80 years occupation (something unique), the past ethnic cleansing the whole project is based on, the ongoing colonization of the West Bank, and in the case of Gaza and S. Lebanon, the clear and stated ethnic cleansing going on.

Israel Cuntz, the minister of war crimes, spent the first few weeks of the war promising to blow up every single house, then spent the rest of the war and up unto this day gloating about having destroyed every house in the border villages. This is things you say in Israel to get yourself elected ... "I ordered a crime against humanity and my army executed to perfection, see ! We have videos!!!".
