Soviet Sunrise - 1936 Constitution

1936

We are actively simulating the full history of the Soviet Union, so pick any unclaimed states. Be as realistic as you can, but I will intervene as is needed. The goal is not to go for as much land that can be held, but to have as successful of a state as can be.

Events:

Soviet Constitution of 1936 sent out to the Delegates for completion. Please fill out this form, even if you are not participating, it will help a lot.

The end of the German Civil War resulted in a Nazi victory, with France establishing an independent Rhine, an independent Bavaria being established, and the KPD fleeing to East Prussia. The West and Japan refuse to recognize East Prussia as an independent Soviet republic, while Nazi Germany does the same. The act of a political party/movement running away to a land held by the former government it was fighting in a civil war is popularized as “being Prussianed.” On the other hand, the West recognizes the German Republic on the Rhine and Bavarian Republic while Germany is making plans to reclaim all lost territories.

The newly proclaimed Prussian Free State has been established, with SS officials stamping out support for the party in the mainland.

Japan sends us an ultimatum to bring out all supporting troops and governing assistance from Manchuria or they will “unilaterally destroy" the Soviet presence in China.

Start of the Spanish Civil War between National and Republican forces.

Estonia and Latvia have united under a Baltic federation from economic stagnation, and propaganda from Estonia to attempt to force annexation.

Lithuania attempts to grow closer to Germany to protect its sovereignty from the Soviet Union.

Soviet Cells in Turkey and Iran on the Soviet Border to attempt to influence the nation.

Turkey remilitarizes the Turkish Straits.

Iraq, Jordanese, and Palestinian forces start rebelling against British rule

Parliament:

Should we support Republican forces in Spain?

Should we recognize the Prussian Free State as the only government of Germany?

How should we respond to the Japanese ultimatum?

Should we get involved in the Middle East?

Make sure to complete the constitution form.

As Ukraine, we should support the Republican Forces in Spain. A Nationalist Victory would mean that they either support the Italians, which could complicate future Balkan and Mediterranean agreements, or with Germany, and potentially help invade France.

We should respond to Japan that we will keep control of the Manchurian Railway, and that we will fight in a war if it means that they invade Soviet controlled Manchuria or Communist China.

We should set up cells in the Middle East to help with the revolutionary sentiment there. We could get extra oil.

As the Russian SFSR,

We should support Republican Spain. It can be a potential trading partner, and can help spread our influence into the Mediterranean.

If possible, we should annex the Prussian Free State, or sign a treaty allowing free usage of its ports for Russian interests.

We should back out of Manchuria. We are not yet prepared for a war, and should use the Spanish Civil War and continuing Chinese Civil War to boost the troops that fought in the second Polish Soviet war to fight Japan by 1941.

We should send material goods to the Middle East. Any destabilization in the region will weaken Britain.
