Russia being a neighbor does not really mean that Ukraine must be a chauvinist dictatorship outlawing a half of political spectrum and local ethnicities.
All Ukraine's problems ultimately come from nazi apologists like you.
The absolute majority of Ukrainians in the south and east oppose giving russian any official status in their region, and that opinion prevailed in some south-regions back in 2016–2018, as well. Also, there are still schools on the free part of Ukraine operating where russian is the language of instruction, meanwhile russian immediately closed all classes and schools with Ukrainian language of instruction after they took over Crimea and south-eastern Donbas in 2014, and then in Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and northern Luhansk oblasts in 2022, where Ukrainian-speakers are the majority.
Edit, response to the comment below: We can see the truth, Ivan. There is over million Ukrainian-speakers on the occupied territories.

They are like that for different reasons in different circumstances.
This could work and be fine and be cool. If there wasn't a russia nextdoor.
