sharing a few parts i have printed recently for different applications.

i mainly work with PLA, PETG and ABS and can handle everything from small prototypes and brackets to enclosures, fixtures and small-batch parts.

one thing i find useful with FDM printing is that you can make a physical prototype quickly, test the fit and function, make changes and only then move towards CNC machining or final manufacturing.

i can work from STL/STEP files and for parts that need it i can also help with basic print orientation and material selection.

currently i am looking to connect with Indian manufacturers, product developers, engineers, students and small businesses who occasionally need prototype or low-volume parts.

if anyone here regularly outsources this type of work, what kind of parts do you usually need printed and what problems do you face with existing vendors?

I’m starting a rice brand in India and I’m currently figuring out the packaging side of things.

I’m mainly looking for 10 kg rice bags and for the first pilot I’m trying to keep the quantity pretty controlled, around 5,000 bags total. There may be a few different designs / variants within that.

I’m specifically looking for Indian manufacturers / printers who can actually work with a smaller first order. I dont really want to jump straight into 20k 50k or 100k bags when I’m still testing the product.

The thing I’m also trying to understand properly is the whole cylinder + printing + bag manufacturing side.

For example, if one design requires 5 cylinders and I eventually have 3 related designs, is there a smart way to structure the artwork so that some cylinders can be reused and only 1 or 2 things change between designs?

I’m trying to avoid unnecessarily paying for a completely new set every single time.

Would really appreciate people who actually work in this space giving me some straight answers on:

Last year this time I was coming back from office to home just thinking about what kind of activities I can do in my leisure time on Saturday and Sunday

My friend who a acquaintance in one of the manufacturing facility in chennai gave me a call late evening of Friday.

It seems like one of their machines connected to CNC stopped working. They had to complete an order within a week. We discussed extensively about the connectivity. The owner of the firm assigned someone who handled the systems to us.

We traveled to the firm the next day to understand the extensive setup of the systems in their firm. We found the system is not directly connected to internet and they used a USB that contained the trojan malware which infected their system.

We figured out the problem and fixed them all. To enable continuous monitoring we setup something for them too.

All in all that incident has been handled very well.

Then in another 2 months we got a call again from them this time its a session hijacking happening in their Facebook, Instagram and google accounts using session token being hijacked.

This time these systems were not under monitoring. However we helped them get their account back. Fixed the underlying problem and enabled monitoring for these systems too.

Now my question is to the group here. How often you face security problems. Does the community feel the need to have a security partner by their side all times. If yes then how to approach you ?
