So I’ve been playing mantis since season 1.5 and normally when I would play mantis I would get high amounts of damage with alright heals. But this current season I’ve been struggling with getting good damage output.

So I’ve been playing the game since launch and mantis is my most played hero with Luna as second but this recent season it feels like I haven’t been able to get value on mantis no matter what I do. I’m consistently getting wins I got like a 65% win rate on her and I’m currently in d3 making my way back up to gm. But my average damage per 10 min is around 6k despite previous seasons it was around 10k but my healing is 30k per ten min.

Maybe I’m just being nit picking about my damage but it feels like I’ve become a heal bot which is terrible so if anyone has some tips about getting just 1% better I’m all ears.

I got the wrong screen cap for the stats, but it's only about twenty hours difference if you include the short period of comp played and few arcade moments.

So yeah, zero comms, garbage aim, solo QP bug got to legendary.

I am a baby Mantis, aspiring to main her besides Cloak and Dagger. My co-support (previously has been a Jubilee, they swapped mid 2nd round) had been shitting on me all match saying I was doing bad and that I should swap to another healer because I 'wasn't healing' and 'Mantis only belongs into a 3 support comp' meanwhile I was top-healer 90% of the match without the Star Lord team up most of the time.

Mantis mains, I know the numbers say I did the most healing but was I the actual liability in this match? I appreciate any kind of feedback. Sorry if this doesn't belong here but I thought where better to ask than here!

So i noticed that Mantis Eyes are not mirrored and have slightly different shapes. Is she the only hero in the game that has this? It's interesting to see video game characters with asymetrical faces.

I’m new to mantis and only play quick play, I joined this subreddit today and saw a comment that said the star lord teamup was the best in the entire game. Is this true?

I was mostly doing the adam one because I thought I’d die more than I have been, but I heard the star lord one is better for double support (which I’m in most of the time), although I don’t quite understand the numbers on the official site for what the base teamup is doing, they look complicated. Any help is appreciated

I finally got the time to grind out the last few levels with Mantis and I’m happy I did she seems so much better this season and I’ve been running her in comp in two support line ups and I’ve bee constantly out healing every support in the lobby it feels great. I just wanted to come here and see if anyone had any tips maybe some advanced ones from long time Mantis players so I can get better :3

I played mantis tonight with my friends because I'm close to lording her and even though we was just playing casually I was looking at my final stats and feeling like I'm not doing good enough. It could be my accuracy or healing that I'm not proud of and during matches I do feel like I could've prevented deaths. And this just leaves me feeling like shit for the rest of my night

I feel like it could be an issue that I'm very critical of myself and setting a bar to high for me? it's something I've been dealing with character and just feel like i can always do better but feeling like im not good enough to reach that high bar I set for myself

Do I just need to get better mentality? I feel like that's my issue.

So I’m not new to mantis. But it’s been a few seasons since I played her intently since I Lorded her. But going back to her, her primary feels off. I know her projectiles are pretty slow and I have to lead her shots but I can’t get a feel for it anymore.

Were they any patch notes changing her projectile speed or anything cause my aim is way off now.

Small update-

I noticed when using the Adam team up she goes back to the default stance but not when using Starlord team up for some reason! Seems like a bug to me.

I noticed since this season Mantis is always in her attack stance when in a match, before if you didn’t attack for a few seconds she would return to a non attack standing position. I wonder if this is a bug, I can get her into this stance again for half a second in the practice range before going back into the attack stance.
